Gold Sheet back-up not out until Monday night. Will post Gold Sheet's anaysis on this game and Oregon vs. Stanford by Wednesday night.
UCLA was the single one and only team to knock me out of a 9-Team Parlay two weeks ago!
But now, USC no "punching bag" like Arizona was! USC just off a brilliant, magnificent shoot-out with top-ranked Oregon. And UCLA not even close to the likes of Oregon!
Expecting USC QB Matt Barkley (2,972 YDs and 33 TDs) to fly into UCLA's house and take them apart with his bare hands!
Will look for offensive powerhouse USC to crush UCLA in a hugh blowout on their own field!

There is no home field advantage for UCLA. The USC campus is right in their backyard. I think USC will try to blitz Hunley to get him out of his comfort zone. Obviously, the key is how well can Barkley play? If he plays well, then USC by 3 TDS. If he has a mediocre game, USC might still win, but by a very slim margin. It might be a down year for USC, but they are still playing for the PAC10 title, so there is still some incentive and motivation to play well.

taking the over 66 LARGE. The UNDER has cashed in the last 6 meetings. The difference this year is that UCLA can actually put some points on the board this year. USC will certainly score...so taking the over seems like the logical call. Anyhow, USC's defense isn't stellar and won't shut UCLA down by any stretch. IF this game is a <7 pts coming into the 4th Q, then the OVER will cash in.

UCLA does have home field advantage.....there home is the Rose Bowl...USC plays at the Colisium...home team has covered the spread 7-2 last 9 games. Brett Hundley is a scrambler / acturate passer. Tough for a team to put pressure on him. Arizona had on of the best pass rushing teams in the nation (66-10 UCLA) I haven't seen a UCLA team this good in a long time...They were up last week against Wash.St 37-7 at the half....this is a young UCLA. I'm sure with a lead like that at the half there players started thinking about USC already.

USC 30 at UCLA 34 "It's been a while since there have been postseason implications in this batte for L.A. And more motivation than usual for UCLA against hated crosstown SC, especially after Trojans gleefully ran up the score on Rick Neuheisel's intimidated squads in recent years.
But Jim Mora's Bruins play with a chip on their shoulder. And SC's flaws on defense have been hard to camouflage, with Monte Kiffin's schemes not helping vs. competent spread attacks or mobile QBs (of which UCLA and Brett Hundley qualify).
Pac-12 sources also say Lane Kiffen abandoning the run too soon, forcing Matt Barkley (8 picks last three) into mistakes. Trojans no covers first five away from Colliseum TY." Regional TV--ABC
That analysis is wonderful, loveable and huggable. But don't try to sell me the Brooklyn Bridge!
No such thing as "running up scores" in college football. Did UCLA "run up the score" two weeks ago against Arizona? With a UCLA blowout of 66 to 10? No!
Well known that any college football team can stage a come-back, and score 6 touchdowns in the fourth quarter!
And after watching USC launch a battle-to-the-death against Oregon, disagree that UCLA any match whatsoever against USC.
Going with my original post..and sticking with my Big Gun USC!

Football is a game of matchups. And the UCLA pass defense just doesn't match up against USC's high powered offense. The Bruin secondary will get picked apart by the veteran Barkley. Look for Trojan receivers Lee, Woods, and Agholor to dominate the UCLA secondary all day long. And if that seems to much for the Bruin defense to worry about. You will see the potent one-two running attack of Trojans Curtis McNeal and Silas Redd. I just dont see this matchup being good for UCLA on the defensive side of the ball. If things go well for UCLA on defense, they will give up 38 points to the Trojans. If things break down for the Bruins, then we could be talking about a 49 point, five TD performance by matt Barkley.
Offensively, UCLA poses some problems for USC's defense. They have an excellent running attack with Jonathan Franklin leading the way. Quarterback Brett Hundley is lethal with his arm and his legs. This tyoe of QB gives the USC defense fits.
The determining factor for me is the experience that USC has at the QB position vs UCLA, and the fact that the Trojan defense bounced back nicely last week against ASU, after a humiliating loss the week before to Oregon. You add those factors to the matchup advantage that USC has on offense, and that spells a final score of: USC- 42 UCLA-31

UCLA remembers getting destroyed by USC last year. They will return favor and beat on this Trojans suspect team. Better coach here with Jim Mora, dont know how kiffin stays employed.....UCLA and OV for the large

Huge rivalry and this time UCLA can compete! Vegas sharps all over UCLA... teasing UCLA to the over

I'm going back in forth on the side...Well, forget about the side. I'm playing the over 66... In past years, i would have doubts about playing the over, but this year, UCLA's offense has been very explosive. On the contrary, USC's defense has been much weaker than previous years. USC's offense is explosive as always and they are going against an inconsistent UCLA defense, which can give up big plays. The final score could end up being 41-35 or 38-34. as for the winner, who the hell knows! Tough call on the side.

"USC has won five straight and 12 of the last 13 meetings with UCLA"
That is all I need to know about this matchup,if that's not a solid trend then I don't know what is. As long as Matt Barkley is healthy it's obvious who should be expected to cover here. I see no reason why USC won't win by at least a touchdown. PICK: USC-4

USC ROLLS THIS ONE BUT ITS CLOSE 40-31. USC PLAYING FOR A SECOND CHANCE TO PLAY OREGON AGAIN AND WITH OREGON'S DEF/SECONDARY BANGED UP IT MIGHT BE CLOSER THIS TIME.
