Doc put the entire bench in, like Blake CP3 and DJ sat the entire 4Q.
It had to go perfect. Knicks bad bench had to beat Clippers bad bench by 15 in what was certainly going to be a slow paced quarter. That's tough. That's a spread of -60 for a game if multiplied obv.
Also, the Knicks had to do their work late in the quarter, otherwise Doc brings the starters back.
It took a perfect storm imo and I'm guessing it was > than 95 % LAC covers 10.5 after the 3rd quarter.

If the Clippers had any other head coach other than the one they idiotically pay $7 million to every season, things like this would not happen as often as they do. Only a Doc Rivers-caliber coach sits there watching his team give up a 12-0 run in ninety seconds and does absolutely nothing to stop the bleeding. Is he the worst coach in the NBA? For the money, you better believe it.
Doc Rivers is the only coach in NBA history to have five straight .600 or better regular seasons without reaching the conference finals. Wow. In other words, the franchise has supplied him with enough great players to contend, but they don't because he's the one who usually "darns" it all up.
There have been only nine teams in 71 YEARS of NBA playoff history that blew a 3-1series lead.....and Doc Rivers was the coach of one of them.
I'm lying! He was the coach of TWO OF THEM!!!!!!!!
