Solid Thursday on the diamond, looking to keep things going in a positive direction..
Boston Red Sox -120 (8.8 units to win 7.33)
Probably contradicting myself by looking to move in a "positive direction" and backing a team seemingly headed the other way. I am not worried one bit about the Red Sox this season, nor Beckett for that matter. This team will be relevant down the stretch and I am eyeing a future on them to win the AL East. More on that later, but as for today, I love the price I'm getting on Beckett and, in my opinion, a better team in their home opener. In his BoSox career, Beckett is 5-0 with a 2.41 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in personal home openers. His only bad home start was in 2010 against the Yankees. Sure he got rocked in his first start this yeer, but he's done this before. In 2008 and 2011 Beckett was hit hard in his first start on the road, only to come back and look dominant in his next start at home. In the bounce starts of 2008 and 2001, Beckett is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 0.60 WHIP.

correcting a typo ... In the bounce starts of 2008 and 2011, Beckett is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 0.60 WHIP.
Bounce Back Starts - our favorite.
I'm watching my book drop the Red Sox # by the minute (not really, but you know what I mean) and I'm thinking I'll get Beckett @ -120 too.
It's sitting @ -123 right now...
I'll be on the Red Sox as well, Spazzer.
And take a look @ that Orioles/Blue Birds game - Morrow @ home, moneymaker last year. Rollin' with it early on this year. That O's Alternate Runline is a few cents short of +300 (+265)

GiLmo - love the bounce back starts and even better the regression starts. One of my favorite bounce back guys (Matt Cain) is going today. Don't love the price, but I'm likely to find some way to get SF on my card. I'll have a look at the O's, good recall of Morrow. Thanks for spotlighting that one.

I actually have your stat on Matt Cain you revealed last year bookmarked @ my home station.
I think the Giants RL is the only play - I am, however, on the *OVER 6.5* for the game.

Saint Louis ML / UNDER Parlay (4 units to win 7.96)
I'm a big Wainwright guy, but I think it's too soon to back him on the RL even thought today's spot might call for it. Home opener for the Cards and surely Wainwright will have an extra level of motivation given he wasn't active when they won the Series. He is a great bounc back starter as well and with the Cubs coming off an 8 run offensive explosion, he should keep them in check. Last year the Cubs were 8-16 following a game where they scored 7+ and averaged 3.45 runs. I think Samardzija fares pretty well today, mostly because I think the Cards lineup is somewhat hazy after their WS celebration and with no Berkman.

What makes you likely over in Philly...I'm assuming your think Philly is gonna score a ton bc cliff Lee will do what here always does especially against that lineup
