i really look at schedules hard and rosters. and i think the national champ 100 percent will come from this list anyone else agree?
THESE 4 TEAMS COULD WIN NATIONAL TITLE VERY LIKELY:
LSU
ALABAMA
USC
GEORGIA
2 SLEEPERS:
FLORIDA ST
VIRGINIA TECH
now who does everyone here like lets discuss. college football ise asy to figure out the champion, i have got 1 team in the bcs title game atleast in the last 10 years like 8 or 9 out of 10 times.
1. ELIMINATE NOTRE DAME AND ALL NON BCS SCHOOLS
2. ELIMINATE ALL BIG 10 TEAMS THIS YEAR AND ALL BIG EAST TEAMS
this leaves, sec ALABAMA GEORGIA LSU above. pac 12 USC.
acc is not a great conference fsu and va tech are highly unlikely to get to title game i think even though they my 5th and 6th best teams in country that could.
that leaves the big 12, if people like the big 12 teams like oklahoma west virginia are maybe worth playing. but i know who is in the big 12, and im not a fan of their defenses. imo those teams would all lose to georgia, lsu or bama or usc, or maybe even a florida st that does not have good offfense, but an amazing defense
florida st will have one of the best defenses in the country this year but i worry about their offense
imo lsu, bama winner vs usc for national title
georgia a sleeper if they spoil shit in the sec cause THEY HAVE THE EASIEST SEC SCHEDULE IN HISTORY AND THE BEST QB in THE SEC. however the o line is questionable

its hard to go against alabama though, i had them last year 7 to 1 to win the title, i only like lsu a bit more this year than bama because the game they meet is in baton rouge, however bama defense is still better than lsu, however if the new lsu qb can still be good i think lsu can win that game, although saban might outcoach miles again.
i dont give oregon much chance because imo they replace too many players, and i cant see them in the title game 2 out of 3 years, usc will take them out and usc will roll the pac 12
oklahoma seems in disaray with suspensions and last national title year 2000, 2 titles in last what 20 years or s o ,it more like chokelahoma, no fuckin way i am going near the big 12 this year. i like oklahoma talent and schedule that they could make a run for a national title but i eliminated them cause i just have a feeling they gonna lose atleast 1 or 2 games and wont get in the title game. look they go at west virginia this year have they ever played there before? i think they can very much lose that game in a high scoring game, and then they at tcu last week of season, tcu is not that bad, then they play k st too and texas it possible they can lose 1 of those games or lose to okie st

But why is Georgia a contenderr? I write this team off every year, Richt was never a great coach and his best year;s coaching were 5 years ago.
Here are my contenders to make the BCS game
SEC - LSU and Bama
B12 - TCU, Texas, OK, K St
P12 - USC and Oregon
B10 - Michigan, Michigan St
BE - Boise
ACC - no one, too much parity in this conference
To win the BCS, I only like Bama, LSU, USC, and Oregon.
Bama is my favorite. If they slip LSU will be right there. I make these two teams at least an 8 point favorite should they play in the SEC Champ game.
Darron Thomas was not a good enough QB for Oregon the last 2 years. He is an average runner at best, and a below average passer. Oregon has plenty of speed and depth. If they find a new QB that can run the system, they will win a lot of games. I assume the guy they have coming in is better than Thomas, or else Thomas would be returning for his senior year.
TCU and Kansas St could both win the B12 if Texas and OK struggle. If you can win the B12 and schedule soft you can luck your way into the BCS. Should tough for WV to win the first year in the B12.
Michigan had a strong year. IF they can continue to rebuild the defense, they could sweep the B10. Mich St has won a lot of games the last 3 years and you have to give them a chance at another 1 loss season, which makes them a contender in a B10 that appears to be down several notched from LY (Wisconsin down, Northwesterm down, Penn St questions, Nebraska questions, etc)
Boise has won so many games over the last 4 years. They are a longshot, but if they can win at Mich St, they have a chance to sweep the BE.
ACC is too tough IMO in conference and non-conference to produce a BCS team? All the top teams will lose 3 times in conference. LY Wake Forest was 75-1 to win the ACC division, and they had a chance to win it until the second to last week of the year.
Other conferences - any team has a chance to go 12-0, and have all the top teams lose twice.
I'd take some of the middle of the pack SEC teams to win the bCS if the odds were good enough.

V.T is re-loading. I just cant see these guys winning.
The conference comes down between the winner of Clemson vs FSU. That game is in Tallahassee...as of now, I give the edge to FSU. Clemson is much more explosive....Things can change

Agree that the ACC will come down to FSU & Clemson.

As I've said in other threads, I think this season will play out very similar to last season in that Alabama and LSU will again be the best two teams in college football. Georgia is not on their level, and will again get blown out of the SEC Championship Game if they make it that far (and they probably should given their schedule).
Initially I think one would have to give LSU a slight advantage against Alabama this season given that the game will be played in Baton Rouge, and because LSU will have two weeks to prepare.
Alabama & LSU are the only teams I would consider betting on to win the national championship.

i agree the only teams i serious consider betting to win bcs this year are bama and lsu.
what do you think of florida st? they should for sure 100 percent or 95 percent for sure lose atleast 1 game? i look at their schedule imo its really easy, but the acc is so parity i still think they lose atleast 1 game? i dont like their offense, but the defense gives up 14ppg it will be one of the best in the country.
but i still think if bama or lsu played fsu they would crush fsu. but thats not the point what if someone bama and lsu each lost 1 game, and fsu went 12-0 and usc went 12-0 it could be fsu vs usc if they win teh title games
but i dont think fsu is good enough to go 13-0 do you? i love their defense, but ej manuel as qb is suspect i dont like the offense at all for fsu all that much, they only have amazing defense

clemson aint shit i not worried about them, maybe they shock people and win the acc but if they do it be with 1 or 2 losses that defense is terrible

and seems like i can eliminate oklahoma out of national title? they have ton of wr suspensions chemistry can be off, and they always choke most of the time, and new big12 look they could lose at wv or at tcu im guessing also host k st and texas in dallas that is not an easy schedule probably good for atleast 1 or 2 losses?

Don't see anyone sweeping the board in the BIG12 or BIG10
you seem to know stuff about college football and so do i and we agree on this, this is good. the scariest teams to me outside of bama, lsu, usc, or georgia to win the bcs title would be
florida st and oklahoma but i feel 99 percent chance neither fsu or ou runs the table. fsu offense just not that good they lose at miami fl or at va tech
and big 12 seems like they could beat on each otehr this year also ou must travel to morgantown where they never played before or been a long ass time since they been there last, west virginia is not that bad thinking if ou is unbeaten going to that game west virginia could beat them, hell i think texas can beat ou but that might be a stretch
i think lsu vs usc or bama vs usc if bama beats lsu in baton rouge

USC will choke. I think Oregon will beat USC. If Urban can get things clicking at Ohio State they have a pretty good shot. Right now LSU and Bama are my two picks to be contenders.
I could also see WV giving OU some trouble in the Big 12.

And the guy who is going to be QB for Oregon is Bryan Bennett who came in for Thomas a few times last year and the Ducks did not miss a beat the other guy they have looked really good in the spring game as well so Ducks should have continued success.

I wouldn't count LSU in just yet... I know they are the team to beat, but it all comes downt o Mettenberger... I know this guy is good, but he doesn't have a lot of experience and if he struggles, then I don't see LSU making it

I forgot too, but I think I agree with the thinking that it is only a matter of time before OSU will be consistently part of the national title conversation. It is all about coaching and just like Parcells was in the NFL, this is the coach to get you there.

I am very bullish on the Seminoles. I think they lack playmakers on offense, but they are loaded with blue-chip talent. I think they have top 5 potential. I don't think they are quite ready to knock off the big boys yet though.

I also think a lot of people are selling the Ducks short. I think that conference is a toss up between USC and Oregon. I'd give USC a slight edge simply because of the Barkley factor, but I think it's a long way from a slam dunk.
