I risked 4.5 to win 1 before the Lakers won their 3rd game of the series, figuring they were a lock and that the price would only get lousier if I didn't take it then.
Well I'll be damned if the Lakers don't FEEL to me like they're about to give me an unbelievable hose job and tank these next two games the way they tanked the last one.
Series price for Denver is +470 so I could throw my 1 out there to win 4.7 and its basically a wash. At that point I get to root for the Lakers to choke and make .2 still lol what are your thoughts?

Im in the same point and am thinking about it. Only problem is i cant find a book to bet Denver, what book are you seeing a series price at?
5dimes - if something ever happens to them I don't know what I'll do lol I have bovada as a backup, but my luck is HORRIFIC with them, and they don't provide the option to bet tennis totals. I make a killing on 5dimes there (tennis), and use some of the profits on basketball. Because betting on these half-the-time unmotivated sloppy jackasses is right up there with playing Roulette.
I've already convinced myself lol I don't hate the Lakers despite all the tanking they've done on me this year, and I don't want to start hating them for costing me a $hit ton of money when I am betting to win less than a third of what tennis paid me this morning.
I'm getting out, which for YOU means you should stay in. When I make coin flip decisions like this, it always lands on the other side. Laker fans rejoice, your team can stop tanking, my money is being taken out of their control.

Don't do it. Kobe pulls a Jordan tonight and goes off for a good game although he is sick.
If you knew the specifics of my past experiences betting on the Lakers (I don't really have a team in NBA, just whoever makes me money, this year rooting for OKC to do it, and hating Miami at all times) you wouldn't feel so confident.
I got the Denver series price "reduced juice" style at +500 risking 90% of my proposed winnings from the original bet, so now if the Lakers take it, I make a tenth of what I would've if I rode it out. But if the Lakers tank, I break even on the deal.
No risk of huge loss, after an insanely profitable week of tennis and boxing (with the occasional decent NBA luck, yesterday notwithstanding).

Furthermore, if the Nuggets win at home tonight, the Lakers will likely be less than a -450 moneyline favorite I would think...so if I feel great about the Lakers all of a sudden then, I can get back in at reduced risk. Laker fans should pay me not to do that lol
