Being from oxford and a huge ole miss fan i worry about this one. Vandy always plays us tight even when we're the far better team. They've won 5 of the last 6 against us. in the last 2 years (since vandy football has been relevant) they are 9-4 at home. in '11 only lost at home to Ark and Geo (both ranked) by a combined total of 8 pts. in '12 only to SC and Flo (both finished in top 10) and both games were close.
On the positive side for ole miss, we are returning our QB, leading rusher, leading reciever, and leading tackler. And lets not forget about the no. 5 recruiting class last year. The overall no. 1 recruit in Robert Nkemdiche will be starting as well as the no. 1 wide reciever recruit in lequon treadwell. Not sure if thats good or bad... And Nashville and New Orleans is the most often traveled place for ole miss students and alums so there could very well be as many ole miss fans and vandy fans at the game. And lets not forget that ole miss was up 17 last year against vandy until Aaron Rodgers Jr. led the vandy come back. And he is no longer there.
I will be making a homer bet on ole miss but not for much. The hook could be huge. A vandy tease looks like a good play as we've only beat them once by more than 10 in the past 11 or so years. Ole miss should be able to score plenty though in Freezes 2nd year of the passing attack and up tempo offense.

I like the QB Wyoming transfer and think he can handle the Ole Miss pass rush. Both teams have similar skill at defense. Difference will be home crowd. When in doubt, take the small home dog.
