Some of the biggest names in college and pro sports are on the panel, including Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany, Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive, Indianapolis Colts President Bill Polian and Rachel Newman-Baker, the NCAA’s Director of Agent, Gambling and Amateurism.
And agent Jimmy Sexton.
Despite what appears to be significant client loss in recent years, Sexton still boasts an impressive list of pro athlete clients. But he’s most known for representing college and pro football coaches like Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin, Frank Beamer, Houston Nutt, Tommy Tuberville, Bill Parcells, Rex Ryan and Tony Sparano.

Sheridan really is a huge source of fairly accurate information on what is going on in CFB. Some say he fibs...you will always have some that will say that. However, I am very confident the man could bring down quite a few programs if he woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Saban has that program where he doesnt have to recruit..similiar to UNC in basketball.Saban ran a clean program in LSU..Everybody wants to try to bring down these SEC dominant teams.Saban builds his program around TOUGHNESS & Dominating the line of scrimmage.Bama just RELOADS.

@Capper,U really think USC will win the National Title this yr?Kiffin has 1 good win in 2yrs.Granted,they have a cupcake schedule but will they win it all?no..This team isnt near as good as PeteCarroll teams from 02 to 08.

@Capper,its NOT WHAT U THINK ITS WHAT U CAN PROOVE.After getting fucking ROBBED in 2004 I could care less if Cam got paid, but the NCAA dismissed ALL charges agaist Auburn.2004 and 2010 Auburn National Champions..Id put that 04 team against ANYBODY.WAR EAGLE

Yeah I think USC wins it all; playing either the SEC champ, or OU in the N.C. Game!
If OU or USC get a QB, RB, or top WR injured they may drop a game, and N.C. Game will be Pac 12 winner vs. Sec Champ...or 2 SEC teams AGAIN!
I think its a little too cozy that Mark Emmert (current NCAA president) has a preexisting and ongoing relationship with Nick Saban (through LSU)
AND IF THE SEC HAS WON ALL THESE CHAMPIONSHIPS BECASUE THEY PAY (AND CHEAT) THE BEST...THAT DOESNT SIT WELL WITH ME!! AM I THE ONLY PERSON WHO THINKS THAT IF AUBURN AND MISS ST. RECRUIT WITH CASH IN EXCESS OF $100,000 PER PLAYER THAT THE OTHER SCHOOLS IN THAT CONFERENCE WOULD HAVE TO TOO?? OR AM I JUST CRAZY AND SHOULD DROP IT??
@youngmoney- i deal blackjack and poker at a casino and i play far too much online poker, and in between hands i study and chat about the only bets i make all year!! This may not be related to football?? certainly not betting, but i think my love for college football will diminish IF NATIONAL CHAMPIONS ARE GOING TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER...BE IT FOR VOTES, RECRUITS, AND THE BEST COACH..I FOUND OUT THIS MIGHT BE MORE THAN JUST AN AUBURN AND MISS ST, WHEN THE ALABAMA FANS SAID EVERYBODY DOES IT!!

An article before the National championship game said:
With the BCS Championship Game set as a rematch of #1 LSU vs #2 Alabama, there is a huge question mark looming over the game. If Alabama wins the rematch and beats LSU, does that really make the Crimson Tide the champions of college football?

If Alabama does win, doesn't that just make LSU and Alabama 1-1 on the season? How does that somehow make Alabama the national champion, especially since LSU played a much tougher schedule in 2011.

Unless you are from Alabama, or somehow like the BCS, college football fans overwhelmingly do not want to see a LSU vs Alabama rematch. But that's what we are stuck with. A championship game in which if one of the teams wins, Alabama, we will still not have a true national champion.

I have lived in Alabama my entire life and can tell you some of the reasons they are hated: 1. There is always some jealousy with successful programs. It's the same reason so many people hate the Yankees. 2. Alabama is not as successful as they claim. The NCAA recognizes Alabama as having won 6 National Titles. Alabama still claims 12 because back in the pre-BCS days, there were several unofficial media outlets that would declare Bama the champs. 3. Many Bama fans reflect this illusion of success with their own superiority complex. In a "what have you done for me lately?" society, Bama fans are still bragging about the big Sugar Bowl victory in 1993 (1992 season). 4. The Bear is dead. Get over it. He was a great coach when he was alive, but he died nearly 25 years ago. 5. In the state of Alabama, where Auburn has unquestionably been the more successful program over the last 10 years and has won the last 5 Iron Bowls, Bama gets 80% of the media coverage.

Alabama and Oklahoma State were separated by .0086 ranking points.
Saban, meanwhile, voted Stanford No. 3 and Oklahoma State No. 4. Now why in the world would he do that? At least he didn't leave Oklahoma State off his ballot entirely.
GOTTA LOVE THE BCS??? IF YOUR GET TO VOTE!! WHAT IS LANE KIFFIN THINKING IF HE CAN GIVE UP HIS VOTE???

The NCAA Committee on Infractions released a statement last year calling the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa the following:
A "serial repeat violator," with an "abysmal infractions track record" and an "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member institution in the NCAA.”
There were (allegedly) recruiting violations with current high school junior, Barry Sanders, Jr. He was seen at a recent home basketball game seated with his dad, Barry Sanders Sr. (NFL Hall of Famer) and coach Nick Saban sitting right between them. Sure, it’s conceivable they got their tickets from the same scalper. "Hey, Barry, what’s up!? Great seats, huh? Oh really, your son plays football? How nice."
I probably could have gotten two seats together.

But he also said he would sign a piece of paper to show that they are keeping their word – they are going to sign it and they want me to sign it to make sure I know I still have my scholarship.” [Emphasis added.]
So this kid believes he’s going to get some sort of binding commitment from Alabama for a scholarship in a year’s time. I can’t wait to hear from the NCAA about that. (Not to mention every school in the SEC.)
I said most interesting, because that’s not the only eye-popping comment this kid made. Check this out:
“He said I’m going to stay in Georgia. They are going to find me a job. I’m going to work. I’m going to physical therapy at least seven days per week. I guess I will work, go to physical therapy and get strong … I will come in with the class of 2013. I’ll get there with the early group so I can do winter workouts and spring football.”

I wonder where the kids parents and coach are in this whole mess. Certainly they can see what is going on. I would bet you the SEC and NCAA do. I guess, we will get another one of these loop hole closing rules in effect, that the NCAA and SEC will come up with. I guess this one will be known as the “Saban Promises rule.” This is a sad commentary about the state of football, in the SEC these days. Winning at all cost and finding new ways to circumvent the present rules, one way or another, is ruining the conference, and giving fuel to the fire, of other conferences in college football, that want to see the SEC get burnt at the stake.

Okay, I’ll preface this post by making it clear we have NO OPINION on this matter, but that at the very least its entertaining to dream up these scenarios brought to us courtesy of SportsbyBrooks. Normally we try to stay away from the NCAA rumor mill, but figured this time we’d led you be the judge about what to make about this, if anything.
Brooks has been on Alabama’s tail all summer about possible NCAA violations, most of which were tied to T-Town Menswear owner Tom Albetar, which Alabama disassociated from last year. Whether or not any of it is true remains to be seen because the NCAA has yet to lend a firm hand in that mess.
The latest controversial claims by Brooks is that a disassociated Alabama booster had a relationship with Alabama running back Trent Richardson. Oh Brooks, you really must hate Alabama!
“WHAT THE? Why would disassociated Alabama booster have photo of Trent Richardson birthday cake? Is it unreasonable to think that Richardson may have received a gift or three from that same disassociated booster if he was at a Richardson birthday function? Seriously, am I being unreasonable asking that question?”

Capper...I feel you are seeing a few aspects the right way but with all do respect it seems you have tunnel vision on this issue.
This is not just a Bama thing nor just an SEC thing. The only reason it might seem magnified by the SEC and Bama is due to the string of NC's the conference has put together.
However, I will assure you rule violations and bending of the rules goes on at many places in all conferences.

Tunnel vision?? infractions that have occured since saban
Bama has gotten away with so many NCAA violations or potential violations under saban
Marcel Dareus taking money from a sports agent
Kerry Murphy and Josh Chapman having their high school grades changed just so they can get into school at bammer
A booster taking Brandon Gibson for a recruiting visit to a on a private jet the booster owns
Sports by brooks website finding documents that indicates Trent Richardson's mother lived in 3 or 4 houses during his career at bammer, including at least 1 house connected to a bammer booster
Julio Jones, Trent Richardson, and Mark Ingram all being pictured in new model SUV's
Dre Kirkpatrick being pictured in a new model Dodge Charger that had his name and jersey number painted on the side of the car
What other school has INFRACTIONS like these without being punished??? And NCAA PRESIDENT MARK EMMERT HAS A PREXISTING REALTIONSHIP WITH NICK SABAN!! MUST BE NICE TO BE ABOVE THE LAW!!
