None of the teams that the Giants need to lose are long shots to lose so like you state, it's reasonable to think it might happen but I think this Giants team will take that possibility out of the equation by losing themselves straight up to the Eagles.
Think these Giants are ready for the offseason...
imho
cheers

Take it for what it's worth, but I was pretty surprised when I saw the NFL props on Sunday. This was prior to the 1 PM kickoffs.
The Redskins were a heavy, heavy favorite to make the playoffs even before the kickoff.
The Cowboys were a decent underdog to not make the playoffs. (I probably shoulda played the Saints at that point after seeing that).
The Giants were slight favorites to make the playoffs I believe.
I actually think the Giants might go into SNF live. Detroit "is due" for a short line victory vs. the Bears, and the Packers should win at Minnesota.
By that happening, the Redskins clinch before SNF is even played. I still think the Redskins win though, not so much because of the rivalry. More so, because the Redskins actually have depth in some spots this season, so benching starters really doesn't really lead to a dropoff.
Despite Washington running with Rex Grossman and equivalents the past few years, the Skins usually play them tough.
Last year this one dude said "I like the Giants to win the SB" right before the Dallas game to end the year. I thought it was a sucker bet just cuz he thought history would repeat itself again, but low and behold it did.
If the Giants get in, I believe they get the Niners in San Fran again....
Wait a second... Pardon my ramble, but if the skins clinch prior to SNF, I don't think they wanna go to Seattle. It might benefit them to lose and take their chances in San Francisco.

My fault. If Washington wins, Seattle is a home game in Washington, so they'll still have everything to play for. That pretty much makes SNF meaningful no matter what.

I think the giants have what it takes to win and get into the playoffs. But even as a huge fan i dont see the magic they had last year coming thru this year with Osi talking all that stuff and injuries mounting. Unless Cruz plays out of his mind in the playoffs lol
