which is not what GOPs did.... they could have easily sat back and watched him fail... but they started making accusations even before he took office... and fabricating desperate theories like the whole birther thing...
You are not answering the question...
I know you want off show off your obama attack strategy for the 2012 election but I am talking about the strategy up till now....
Perhaps your lack of an answer speaks to actual absence of a valid strategy other then funneling the emotional outrage of obama being president...
Do you remember this? "americans are miserable!!!"
just another version of simply venting vile and hostile emotions... which to me is a more of a liberal ways of thinking while conservatives are based more on logical principles...
This is a part of my point in that GOPs lost their marbles and started acting like liberals... which ironically alienated the dems and moderates that voted for obama that could have bailed...
Do you agree that the GOP actually had no strategy and instead shot from the him emotionally overreacting to everything possible?

I have said I don't think they have used a strategy yet. That isn't going to come until the candidate has been determined. I take it we are disagreeing there.
Tell me what accusations were made before he took office?

Strategy to get dems and independents to bail is important and should have been employed as soon as obama won... If you think that the GOP is actually is thinking that it is prudent strategy to wait till right before the 2012 election and that voters will some how just forget the things in the past 3.5 years then they will deserve to lose....
The main accusation before and in the beginning of the presidency was that obama was a liar and could not be trusted... Therefore if the GOPs were going with that strategy it would be of utmost importance to distinguish themselves from obama by being truthful and sticking to facts, not fabricated conspiracy birther theories... If not then both sides would look like liars and it would be a wash...
and a wash would mean no change in how people voted and obama would win again...
beck and others stated that he has a ultra-leftist agenda when what his record shows, especially in the opinion of the far left is that he is too far to the right/middle... So by attacking prematurely and incorrectly this results in the dems and independents that you want to bail on obama to turn a deaf ear...
But as I said early beck is about promoting beck and really was an opportunist who kicked the GOPs while they were down exploiting their emotion...
BTW I like some of your attack strategy when you talk about issues and choices of obama... I think regardless partisan view those things should be alarming...
I think personal attacks based on what obama takes credit for or how he portrays himself sound like grasping desperately at personal attacks on character... People will make their own judgments so to try to steer the perceptions of people is a huge turn on for partisan rhetoric wackos and a huge turn off for independents who insist of making their own conclusions... So people that try to falsely make positive and negative attributions with obama simply sound like partisan propaganda...
As you might relate more with the GOP paradigm, I probably relate more with the independent paradigm... my record on this site is not that I am for or against either side...
But that I am against mindlessly siding with a prescribed partisan view or mindlessly siding or bailing out a poster or group of posters even when they are clearly wrong... That is why I respect individuals and attack groups of posters that gang up and collude because they know their points lack substance and they lack the ability for a civil debate... If not there would be no reason to behave in that manner... unless....
The amazing 5FF lost all credibility on this site not because of the "stalkers" that were against him but the "stalkers" that blindly and mindlessly sided with him constantly trying to bail each other out...
My bailing the GOP party to independent was simply because of what I learned from RitardA and the "circle jerk crew" about what being GOP meant in the 21st century... I refused to believe that being conservative/right meant that I had to have and agree with a racist/bigoted slant and blindly agree with fox news talking points and who ever might be spewing them...
In some ways I thank Richie for showing me the light

Thank you again for taking the high road and engaging in a civil dialog...
I hope that you can learn a little more about where I come from with my views as I have found it laughable that people try to call me leftist when historically working in the social services field I was always surrounded by the far left, minorities and women that dominate the field, I was label as "that guy"... the right winger who embodies everything that keeps them down...
Just because I give certain partisan "Slime balls" on this site a hard time doesnt mean I am some how come from the extreme and complete opposite side...
But back to my points... Do you at least agree that for obama to lose that the GOP needs to get dems and independents to bail and therefore just preaching to the choir is a mistake because it will result in the same mccain/palin voters voting the same way and obama voters voting the same way?

I personally don’t remember any lies. Obama did say we would
be out of Iraq
sooner and he was going to close Gitmo. I wouldn’t call them lies. I call them
mis-calculations. Anyway, I’m glad he didn’t close Gitmo and I’m also glad he
waited until the Iraqis were better prepared before he pulled the troops. By
the way, this is where Ron Paul hits the nail on the head about the U.S. always
nation building. Back during Roman times the side that won the war made the
losing side slaves and took their land. Now when you win a war you have to
rebuild the country you defeat.
I consider myself conservative overall but with libertarian
tendencies:
Gay marriage I have no problem with. It should be decided on
a state by state basis and it should be decided by the voters or the
legislature, not by a judge.
Legalized drugs I have no problem with but it should also be
decided by the state.
Abortion I am against personally but once again it should be
left up to the states. I am totally against tax dollars funding abortions even
in states where it would be legal.
As of right now I think plenty of Independents will bail on Obama
but I still don’t think it is enough. In that thread about the Republican
Recipe for victory I list all of the things that would need to happen. Right
now that would be a lot of “ifs.”

Do you remember however that the GOP/Beck strategy before and during the beginning was to characterize obama as a liar.... Three was even the "you lie!" incident...
So it was not even about calling obama on lies, but instead saying before he was president and before he even did anything that he was not to be trusted...
you other personal side notes are interesting, but I think you are beginning to move away from the topic of the thread which is getting the dems and independents to bail...and my basic assertion that the GOP/teaparty has fumbled the opportunity to do so resulting in an obama win...
so what exactly in your own words would you say was the strategy to try to get the dems and independents to bail?
Or am I correct that they fumbled the opportunity by preaching to the choir?

The lie remark, I think, was about illegals receiving healthcare under Obamacare. Some people don't consider Obamacare (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) actually govt run healthcare. The fact that the govt passed a 2,000 page bill makes it govt run healthcare. Who has read every page?
I listed some of my beliefs because in post #179 you mentioned how you are called liberal by the right and conservative by the left. You know where I stand on economic and foreign policy issues. I thought I would mention some social issues as well.
Once again, I disagree with the wording of your question: "So what exactly would I say was the strategy..."
You make it sound like whatever Republican strategies that were being tried to get Independents and Conservative Democrats to bail on Obama are finished. I would say they have hardly started.
Surrogates will bring up the "Birther" question but whoever the candidate is will attack him on his record.

The specific shouting out "you lie" was about obamacare...but the initial strategy was to spin obamas savvy and public speaking ability as that he is must be a liar...
I may have been called a right winger by the left... but in my real life No One would call me a liberal... My right winger friends characterized me once as a compassionate conservative but that is about as close asit gets.... even though I call myself independent, I am still a registered republican...
It is only on this site that people assume that I am dem because I give the "Slime balls" in this forum a hard time... mainly because I like watching them throw a tantrum and go bananas by me just making a few posts....
I think my compassionate conservative values comes through in my business in that I offer discounted rates to vets and families... I was part of a program at one time where I would do pro-bono work for vets and families of enlisted in exchange for training from the VA on how to work with vets better... I no longer do that program but still give vets and their families automatic discounts and some times pro-bono (like this one guy you did tours in Kuwait, Somalia and Iraq... had to honor that guys service)...
I thank you for being respectful and not using a "Slime ball" tired joke of being a masseuse as this really disrespects the courage of the vets that come to work with me on issues like addictions/gambling (I leave the combat PTSD to the VA cause they are better at it)
I also offer discounts for unemployed providing that return to work is an active part of our treatment plan...
I do not work with medicare, medicaid or any other type of government handout mainly because their reimbursement rate is so low that patients would have to pay more in their copay then what the government pays to cover my full rate...
I think my question is valid... I think that the last 3+ years are significant in the minds of voters... and if the GOPs are thinking they can just preach to the choir and then try to reach across the aisle at the last minute then I would call that poor strategy...
It would be like to say that we should not hold obama accountable for anything he did to turn off voters up until right before the election... right?

Says the moron who knows nothing about me. I didn't even vote for him the first time, I have no reason to vote for him a second if the GOP can put out a viable candidate. You're an idiot. Stop talking. Do something productive like jumping off a tall building or bridge.
K-train, I agree with you. Unless the Rebuplicans can elect Ron Paul--really anybody but Gingrich, I may have to vote for O'bama. Something I really DON'T want to do.

Under this argument, corporations are actually government run as well, since there are multi thousand page documents dealing with them as well.
You have successfully carried out a failed argument under the auspices of illogic.

That is exactly the reason fiscal conservatives think govt hurts private industry: unnecessary regulations. I'm sure we could argue what we think are or are not necessary. The same is true with the new healthcare bill. It overhauls the system and regulates where it should be left up to the individual.

What exactly is the overhaul?
In reality the only changes that people will actually see are eventual lower prices based on the reduction of unpaid medical expenses.
And the mandate for those people that don't have insurance.

someone should have asked her to define conservative
Thee Be easy ...after what her husband did to her, I can understand her defensive posture against most males and the need to strike out at the slightest provocation ...she probably needs a little more time to heal...

Currently, over 50% of medical services go unpaid. Nothing can be done on reducing the costs of insurance until that number is reduced.
Obviously, insurance companies will be paying out more, but the costs of the services will be significantly reduced.
That still doesn't compute
NOW, we have an industry that wants to collect 100, yet only gets 50
You want to solve the problem by making them whole, by doing so, SOMEONE has to pay that missing 50 to get them back to their 100. This is a government mandate that we pay the middle men more so that they can pay fat executive bonuses and raise rates and then cry that they still need more money, and somewhere in that process you feel that this law will get the providers the other half of their balances on services provided. Am i looking at this the wrong way? We are going to pay twice as much for these service by law, as a whole, and that will be cheaper?
Can you at least see why that sounds so confusing?
It sounds like telling someone "hey, you always only pay your heat bill every other month, now you have to pay it every month, but at least it will be cheaper now that you are paying twice as much,,,,,"
By cheaper, do you use the same jargon that the government types do about making things like university and housing more affordable?

I don't remember reading so many points that I agree with 100%. It used to be "To the victor go the spoils". That's been changed to "To the victor goes the bill to rebuild". wtf?

I think Iraq is a primary example of that point in terms of having to help them rebuild and basically putting an indefinite long term blank check on the whole thing was reckless spending that this country could do with out... We should fund our own government before we devote money, resources and lives to stabilizing another...
I think canosvp makes alot of good points... having a dialog with him is fun as it is not about cut/paste BS, fabrication/Spin or partisan talking points...
