How 'bout one of you genuises listing all the "quality wins" of Michigan.
Sorry... but, I don't see any.
(Hey... as we all know, you gotta play whoever the hell's on the schedule... but, to dismiss Tech for no so-called "quality wins" will be to do so at your own wagering peril tonight. The Big Ten's been less than impressive all season long and, staying true to form in this post-season, they've underperformed by going 3-6 after a disappointing 1-4 run yesterday).
Obviously, at the end of the day, hotshot QB Robinson is the guy who makes Michigan tick, and if he doesn't have a great game... and I do mean GREAT... his Wolverines have no chance of winning tonight's game.
Make no mistake, Virginia Tech will field plenty of offensive weapons of their own. In addition to two stud WRs, RB Wilson was #6 in the nation at 125 YPG and 6'6" 245 lb QB Thomas threw for nearly 3000 yds and 19 TDs while getting more proficient as the season wore on with a 15-4 TD-INT ratio L8G! Meanwhile, the Hokie "D" proved to be typically Tech-Tough, allowing just 3.3 YPC and ranked #12 in pass D efficiency and #11 in sacks.
Under the circumstances, Tech's kicking game is an obvious concern... but, you gotta give a BIG coaching edge to HC Beamer, who's led his Hokies to 19 consecutive bowl games... yes, 19! (Wolverine HC Hoke's Ball State and SD State team's were 1-2 in tiny little bowl games.)
I'm giving a big edge to Virginia Tech in post-season preparation, special teams, and Hokie DC Foster having lotsa time to prepare for UM's Robinson.
Virginia Tech 31 Michigan 24

If VT is that much better than Mich! why the hell is Mich giving up points? Do you guys know something that we Mich fans don't know?
Michigan-3/Over 50.5
With 2 missed field goals from VT. They are 6 points short of a win.

Michigan's laying 3, surinta, because that's where the damn money's going. C'mon, man!
Other than that, it doesn't mean a thing and, YES... I DO know something that you Michigan fans might wanna take into consideration: This team is 4-13 SU away from Ann Arbor L4Y and 5-14-1 ATS L20 versus teams with winning records. Ouch. (And, let's not forget that this Michigan team got blown out 52-14 at this time last year by Mississippi State in the Gator.)
I'm betting that Tech DC Foster will implement schemes that will confuse the shit outta Robinson. (the same guy who threw 15 picks and completed just 55% of his passes).
Hey... GLTA tonight!
