I think you've done a brilliant job as always. The subscribers wouldn't expect anything less.
A few quick thoughts:
Indy should be fine. The Chargers had a bigger loss with Okung. If he were healthy, their OL was marginal at best. Without him protecting Philip's blind side, the OL is something less than adequate.
The Lions have shunned style for substance. Their opponent in week 1 has done the opposite. Lions in year 2 of being better balanced, Arizona in game 1 of the air raid or something else that will take time to develop. I'm just really surprised Detroit is a 2.5 road favorite. If Arizona can't be a short favorite in this spot, when can they be?
Only 1 game with a total of less than 41 this week. Any guesses which one, Mr. Shrimp?
I give Buffalo's coach McDermott an edge right now over Gase in Jetland. Bills made a nice bold move shedding McCoy from the roster. They'll be better off for it.
I'm neutral on Jacksonville's short term outlook. The range of outcomes for this week's game range from A to Z. If somebody gave me money that I had to bet a side or total on this game, I'd go to the under 52 first and the KC -3.5 second.
I like your "who's going to watch the Denver/Oakland game at 10 on Monday?" People will defend the Pacific Coast time people, but everytime I go to Vegas in fall, the sportsbooks and bars are packed at 9 AM prepping for the early games, and well thinned out late in the afternoon. Even they party on with the early games. It's just very early.
Indy+7 and Pitt +6 are in the books.

Quality write-ups
I made 2 wagers on Monday expecting line moves and did well.
The obvious one was Dallas. I was confident that Elliot would sign and that his signing would drive the line up.
If I can get the GMen at +7.5 at -105 or better, I will middle that game out.
The other game was Carolina. Paid juice to get them at +3. That line has dropped since.
I doubt I middle it, but I'm happy with my number.

i wish that +7 was still around with indy. the chargers have issues and indy still has a lot of talent. it's available for 6.5 at a few places. i might still take it.
this probably doesn't mean anything but last year detroit opened with a similar game against the jets. like AZ, the jets were predicted to be horrible and were starting a rookie qb. i took detroit thinking they should take care of a bad team with w rookie qb in his first start easily. and of course detroit got smoked. same kind of thing this season. detroit's coaching in that one was a horror show. maybe they learned their lesson this season?
on that under, i'm looking at an 8 - 3 final, miami wins.
buffalo is a tough call but can anyone say for sure the jets are the better team? i don't think so so that +3 might be the way to go.

bigd, i doubt we'll see 7 again but 6.5 is available. i might still take it.
ums, my opinion on houston hasn't changed, but i'm more hesitant to put money behind it this season. i had houston coming in 4th with luck healthy. i still say 3rd but i also think jax, tenn or houston can win it. they all have some positives but also major questions. as for this week, i'm considering NO. houston should have a bad secondary and just lost a key player on the DL. tough to go into NO like that.
cyrax, i might bet a team total over in that TB/SF game. i'll look at it again over the weekend.

so elliott signed as expected but the line is holding at 7. my guess is people figured he would sign this week and RB only matters so much these days so no line move yet. at 7, i think dallas is the way to go. the giants should be really bad.

BigRed, you've been on this site for about 10 years ... don't you think it's about time you figured out how to work the "quote" button?
I don't believe I have ever seen you respond to anyones post via the quote button without messing it up.
FFS, even Bookyman could figure that shite out, and he wasn't exactly Einstein

we have our first bet against cleveland and the season hasn't even started yet. normally, that would elicit some harassment, but i like the play. i like that cy special. i was hoping it would be SF/TB but i think cincy can score and seattle should be fine at home against that defense.
