Incredible that all 4 underdogs covered this weekend. I originally liked all the favorites. I got lucky splitting a pair of sides (changing my mind on the Atlanta game was a huge help as I played them big) and a pair of totals, although I still feel robbed by the Chefs/Titans somehow failing to go over. So already have early bets on
Philly +2.5,NE (13.5),Jax +7 ,and NO +4. Probably no use in middling anything because the lines won't move too much. If they do I can see taking Minny -2.5 if it's there, which I doubt. I have problems with the Eagles. That's either a gift or a fool's gold line. We shall see. Just play the way you know how and believe in it.

Wow! They eventually scored on 4th down, but that defensive play stood out in my mind as well. Fournette gets a running start and leaps 3 feet in the air only to be stopped and sent back a yard. It was an amazing effort by the defender.

Pittsburgh had the worst red zone defense in home games this year. That's probably more a coincidental stat than a meaningful one, but it does shed a bit of light on the Jaguars if they can take advantage of it.

The Pats already changed their field turf after the 1st week of the season and it has underground heating. It also has a state of the art drainage system. The manufacturer of the turf based in Georgia claims that only an uncontrollable blizzard would compromise the integrity of the playing surface.
We here in FLA are also going to have another week long blast of cold after the nice 75 degree temps today and tomorrow.

Oh come on Hugh, that was 1975 vs. the Raiders. Back then we had no idea that Brady was the real 6 Million Dollar Man. All those white guy receivers for the Patriots have hands of glue. Gronkowski may be the best pass catcher I've ever seen. Nobody can cover him when they throw to him. And they won the Super Bowl last year without him. This year they play without Edelman and it's just business as usual throwing to Cooks (token black guy) or Hogan or Amendola. These guys are just in a different stratosphere. And since coming back from injury, Dion Lewis looks like Reggie Bush on steroids (maybe he is).
