Interesting game today as the Earthquakes try to finally get a result. Thanks to an 89' minute Diego Valeri screamer off a free kick, the Earthquakes have now failed to win a match in their last 12 games.
70 days ago was the Earthquakes season opener, where they beat this same Minnesota squad 3-2. That's good news for a team that's trying to avoid their worst MLS start since 2009. Quakes head coach Mikael Stahre said "we need more chances, we need points, and the bottom line is to score goals and win." All coaches say this when struggling, but I expect his team to respond.
After this game San Jose travels to Vancouver (which is a TOUGH place to get a result) so today's match means SO MUCH to this squad. Minnesota is missing Kevin Molino who scored 2 goals against San Jose in the season opener. If the Quakes can contain Darwin Quintero, I think they have a legit shot at getting a result in this match. Give me the dogs desperate for a win.

Also, I lean OVER 2.5 in this Earthquakes game, but it's juiced to high heaven currently sitting @ -170! If it dips a tad, maybe I'll add a few bucks too it, but that's too much sauce for me as of right now.

[209825] San Jose Earthquakes +½ (-130)
Risking 1.3 to win 1.0
[209825] San Jose Earthquakes (+230)
Risking .5 to win 1.15
Quakes show up big time in Minnesota and come away with a 3-1 victory. Good performance for a team that was desperate to right the ship. I'll be back in a few for some early evening action.

Passed on quite a few plays, let's stay with MLS for now.
Chicago Fire vs. Columbus Crew
I'm from Chicago and watch almost every Fire game I can, not saying I'm an expert by any means, but I do know their tendencies depending on the situation. What we have here is two teams coming off 1 nil wins at home.
Crew stay home, where they have been one tough nut to crack. Since July 1st, 2017, Columbus has lost just ONE home game (back in March against Vancouver). The last time the Fire came to Ohio and won, was back in 2013. They've grabbed a couple draws, but Fire have historically struggled here.
Crew starting Zardes up front with Santos and Higuain in the midfield, this will not be easy for the Fire's defense. I would play Crew as well, but -190 is too juicy for me. I smell goals though.

Gosh, what a wild first half. Both teams hit the post, a penalty kick, and dozens of chances for each team. I'm sincerely surprised by the lone goal, should have at least two at the half. Fireworks coming. I hope.
