I can't see myself by hitting my mid 30's being able to put up with a retail job anymore.. So what choice do I have?? gambling of course... Or investing, but I have never looked into it. Let's say I would have a 100k bankroll and my goal is to average $18,000 a year which is $1500 a month. It's not much, but I would happy with it.

I want to split profits approx with 9k sports and 9k profit poker

What would be the best way to go about it?

I can get 70% rakeback in poker tournaments I believe, which is guaranteed profit for me in the long run. Sports betting will be tougher.

I am looking to spend 8-10 hour days 5 days a week playing poker. With doing my best to get in 2 hours of pure research on sports betting each day... 2 hours or so on my days I am not playing poker on sports research... Taking picks from forum etc... What should be my betting amount for sports?? It obviously should be 1 figure I would always stick to and never do parlays

How realistic is this? Is anybody else trying to get by strictly off sports gambling and poker?

Look into investing.  I was out of the market for over 10 years and just got back into the race.  The potential for Marijuana stocks is limitless.  I am actually enjoying watching my stock market picks all trading day long.  It's actually a bigger rush than sports wagering.  Check out the Investment Forum here on Covers.  There are penny stock recommendations that can make you some very serious money.  GL.

How hard is it to understand? I am not that intelligent to pick up on things quickly. I need to be buying and selling stocks all the time to make any profits right?

Actually, you need to buy stock and almost never sell it to profit the most.

Easy to agreed that some of the richest investors held the best stocks for a long time.

Buy & Hold.

When your stocks dip in price then BUY MORE.

Always buy again on the dips and you will be SUPERMAN in two years.

Loser ~ I hear ya bro. I’m 30 years old. I’ve been a welder in a family business right out of high school for 12 years. I’ve worked more and harder than most people who are still working. I’ve been unemployed for 3 months. I’ve always loved to gamble on sports and play poker. If there’s a way to do it for s living~ and you figure it out~ tell me the specs about it. Because I don’t want to be crawling around on my knees because I can’t walk and have minuscule surgery at age 39. So to be able to money manage very well and make 4000-1200 a week, would be awesome.
