Here's an "of-the-wall" type of discussion for you if interested...

I'm just throwing this out there because I'm not sure I see what's coming....that's assuming if anything is coming. I have a liberal friend who seems to think, with all the social justice upheaval going on in our country, Donald Trump is forcing sides to be drawn with clear divisions along the racial / bias lines. This division is going to lead to a Civil War within the next 2-5 years and my friend keeps warning us to think carefully about which side you choose.

I don't get it though. I think 1) if this is true, and a Civil War is on our horizon within the 2-5 years what are dems/libs going to use for weapons? Conservatives are the ones with all the guns. Are the liberals stupid enough to bring knives to a gunfight? And 2) My christian upbringing (I have not always followed hence why I have an account on this site) taught me that most likely, if anything does happen, in the end-times a rapture will take most conservatives off this physical world to heaven anyway. So there will not be any conservatives around for the Libs to fight regardless.

So, to make story short, I'm just not understanding the Liberal's supposed end-game here, as it relates to my friend's threat to make sure you "choose your side wisely" (and he is a friend we just do not agree on politics). Its not really clear to me what liberals are planning.

Maybe someone else can chime in with their thoughts?? Are we due for a a societal upheaval if D.T. gets re-elected in 2020? How will liberals / democrats react?

You are correct, sir, about the guns. So, I don't see a Civil War a'comin'.......

That's not to say civil unrest will go away. But any minority will have trouble trying to change a majority, is that not so?

I try NOT to talk politics or religion here (that's why there are different forums for that), because in the end, you vote cancels my vote, so why fight any fight with a bunch of fellow degenerate gamblers?

The only question we have about Washington is how did they lose to Arizona State?

This is not a "Conservative" vs "Liberal" issue.

It's a "Corporate Fukks™" issue.

It's really very simple.  You can't expect to ship all the Middle Class Jobs overseas, allowing the complete assassination of the Middle Class in this country, and NOT experience a backlash from the working class.  The Corporate Fukks™ have increased the CEO to WORKER salary ratio from 30-1 in the 1970's to 600-1 today.

How do they expect to keep the masses from climbing the gated walls of their homes and dragging their lifeless bodies through the streets???

It's coming.  It might take a while.  But it IS coming.

REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!

This is correct but the OP is not interested in anything but making this a political liberal vs conservative issue, which is it is not at all.

Some people look at most all things as one political side vs another rather than MONEY...where is the money and thus the power flowing and why? It has nothing to do with the party...both parties have their owners, all politicians owe a debt when elected, this debt controls policy and money flow..

But it is more fun to make things lib vs conservative for MANY..

wallstreet, lib vs. conservative may have been the way I tried to understand it but I am certainly open to other views. Please feel feel to elaborate.

GoldenGoose, is DT not trying to bring back middle class jobs? Help me understand and/or point me in the right direction to research this a bit more. You've peaked my interest.

ok, I get that but was it not Bill Clinton who started all this with trade policies like NAFTA?? And isn't that why D.T. got elected by, among other things, promising to cancel out of NAFTA and other like trade policies? And, if this is not the case, why is my friend and other liberals thinking about a revolution? Why are they not supporting D.T.?? Are the racial / bias divisions in this country so strong it causes liberals not to see D.T. is trying to help them along with many more Americans? Explain....

"Explain..."

Let's start with these three...

Number One, turn OFF both Fox News and CNN.  Turn ALL that sh!t off and live a better life.  These ARE NOT "News" channels.  They all have an agenda that includes pushing your buttons to drive ratings upwards and increase advertising revenue.  Period.

Number Two, the Corporate Fukks™ also have an agenda.  It's called "Divide and Conquer".  Pit the Management Conservatives against the Worker Liberals.  Put a carrot on a stick and make the Management Minions chase it down to try and keep their living status while offering the Worker Minions less and less to keep them slaving to maintain their living status.  BOTH LOSE in the long run.

Number three, neither the Corporate Fukks™ or the Workers will listen to DT.  Why should they?  DT is a master of the deceptive deal.  Be it or Trump University or reneging on the Iranians.  It's all BS designed to gain position.  For DT and DT only.  DT is a scam artist, a cheapskate, a womanizer (just like Clinton and Weinstein) and a bully.

Excellent post GG. Now we're getting somewhere. One more question if you'll indulge me. Can you please elaborate with an example for number two highlighted above? An example from the Obama years, non-D.T. related, would be appreciated as well. I just want to make sure this is purely economical and not partisan politics.

Obama was no angel when it came to corporate welfare.  How soon we forget the GM bailout???  Maybe GM, it's employees, the affiliate suppliers, the entire structure was indeed "too big to fail" but DON'T tell me with a straight face that the taxpayers didn't get sukkered on that deal.

The Corporate Fukks™ are somebody I NEVER try to patronize.  Tonight I made the exception by taking the family out to Chili's.  I am a sukker for their frozen top-shelf Margaritas with a Grand Mariner kicker.  99% of the time I patronize a half dozen local restaurants run by local small businessmen but tonight was an exception.  After four margaritas (Wifey did the driving) and a couple more here at home I have have it for the evening.  Cheers.  To be continued.
