I hope it's cool if I throw this in here for today BK- Covers wont give me my own thread on my first day of school.
Long time lurker here- I decided to start posting because I feel the need to share my shitty picks with you. I've been capping for about 3 years now and am currently on the most decent hot streak of my life *knock on wood* of 11-2 in the past week. Big time follower of the kings- BK, wuss, DU (CFB), LC (NFL), among others. Some picks are tails of the upper echelon of covers, others are meticulous and well thought out, most are dumb and regretful.
Enough with my life story though , time to bring in the bread.
Ryu (+125)
LA/Sox U8.5 (-113)
Ebb and flow of the game fellas, Ryu hasn't shown anything to make me believe in him this postseason, but this is the F***** show. Discounting his two lackluster appearances against the Crew (my boys), he's shown that he can grind, and has the stuff to hold the Sox' firepower in check. This coupled onto the sox' .241 BA vs RHP (.307 vs LHP) tells my gut to believe that the dirty dodgers will even this one up. Last night's game was uncompetitive (Kershaw is the most overrated pitcher in the game right now), and while the Sox are clearly the better team, LA knows how to put up a fight.
Taking the under in this game is based off of two thoughts
1. Against the public: 77% on the over yet it still sits where it opened at 8.5, The men in the desert got the public last night with two (supposed) aces on the bump. I think they get them again with two dudes that havent quite put it together yet, but have demonstrated the ability to keep soild bats in check over the course of the year.
2. Price is due for a QS, at home I think he will deliver a respectable performance, but not enough for the dub.
Score prediction: Dirty Dodgers 4 - BoSox2
Trying to convince myself from parlaying the two (+330), but having a difficult time pulling the trigger. Let me know your thoughts .
