Congrats to Vegas! I don't think they were the better team the last two games but they found a way to win both big road games and all four games by 1-goal. Outscored the Kings 7-3 for the 4-game sweep! Looking forward to see how they do against a team with a bit more offense.

I won't act like i know anything about hocky, bc i don't. I just come in here to check out thid dude's picks(he's good), but those stats you posted above don't mean much to me. Somthing has happened to Vegas. Not the same team that was destroying opponents early in the season. There was a time when they couldn't be beat. They don't look like that team anymore.

rake122 I think it was the matchup. Kings tend to play physical, low scoring games. It seemed like they dictated the pace in the series but the Knights still won. That's a huge plus for the Knights in my opinion that they can win in low scoring and high scoring games. Just my opinion.

Just because they are WINNING by more than a point this while series doesn't mean they aren't destroying teams.
They just SWEPT this KINGS team, do you kbow how hard that is????????
Not bad for their INAUGURAL season I must say!
I saw a Vegas goaltender play out of his mind. You could argue that he carried them to a sweep. It looked like they declined toward the end of the season. Without being bias... How do you think they would do against Nashville now?

PIT -1/2 +105 Time to close the door on Philly. In games 1 & 3 Pittsburgh outscored Philly 12-1 and won both games. In game 2 Brian Elliot stood on his head and stopped 34 of 35 to give Philly a road win.So, the question is, does Brian Elliot stand on his head again? His .909 Save% and 2.66 GAA for the year say otherwise. He was terrible in two regular season games against Pittsburgh and terrible in 2 of 3 playoff games so far. That’s 4 of 5 games performing poorly against this Penguins offense. Even with his saving grace in game 2, his stats against The Pens overall this year now sit at .863 Save% and 4.78 GAA. Crosby & Co. simply have his number.
PIT/PHL over 6 -120 This bet relates to the same things I mentioned above as well as the addition of myself just not being sold on Matt Murray despite the fact he’s been solid 2 of the 3 games played. It should be desperation time for Philly so expecting them to pot a few but ultimately won’t be able to keep up with The Pens and their own average goaltending.
Passed on the over 6 ½ for TB/NJ but if you can find it at 6, I’d take it.
SJS -1/2 -120 I admit I leaned Anaheim to start this series, but John Gibson and the Ducks defense has been slowly broken down each game and Martin Jones is now an absurd 5-0-1 against these Ducks with a .957 Save% and 1.29 GAA. He had a mediocre season for San Jose but similar to The Pens having success against Brian Elliot, Martin Jones just matches up well with The Ducks. Since the addition of Evander Kane, which can’t be overlooked, The Sharks are averaging 3.81 GF per game and a tick higher at home averaging 3.92 GF. After losing their two games at home, Anaheim needed a win, or at least a game they could build off in case they had to confront a daunting 0-3 deficit. They got neither. Spirits should be low here for The Ducks has the Sharks try to close it out in The Shark Tank in front of some rabid home fans.
SJS TT O 2 ½ -170 Big number here but Sharks have, as I mentioned above, averaged 3.92 GF at home since the trade deadline—that’s a stretch of 13 games with 51 goals scored. They’ve annihilated John Gibson thus far as he’s posted an .882 Save% and 4.17 GAA through three games—all losses.

G/L tonight. I am thinking of tossing a bit on the Tampa/Jersey under at 6.5 solely due to the way the last game ended. I see a war tonight with a ton of hitting or Booms as my 4 year old Grand Daughter calls them.

Yeah, I hear ya. Took two empty netters to get there so makes sense. I'm unsure of what to makeof this game so I stayed away altogether. I'm not a big believer in the Devils or Corey Schnider at this point but not sure if that was just a game where they got a nice goaltending performance plus a all-world game out of Taylor Hall or if Tampa just eased up on the road because of the 2-0 lead. They could come out and really control the game and pepper Schneider...or maybe I'm wrong and this will be a 7-game series all controlled by home ice. I dunno. Good luck with it!
