Charlotte is certainly bad, but they have actually kept things closer with the below average offensive teams in the league. They are 5-6 SU against the bottom 15 teams in offensive efficiency. Only 1 of those 6 losses has been by more than 11 points(lost to Milwaukee by 15). Chicago is 23rd in offensive efficiency.
Also, teams with slow pace are more favorable opponents with this high line. The Bobcats have either won or lost by less than eleven points in 13 of their 16 games against teams in the bottom half of the league in pace. Chicago is 25th in pace.
Chicago has 16 wins and 12 losses, with only 2 wins being greater than 11 points. They just don't blow teams out and are content to emerge with the win. After somewhat getting their mojo back against the Wizards, will they be excited about this hapless Bobcats squad coming in on New Year's Eve? I doubt it. I'd be thinking about what party I was going to be getting down at later.
Charlotte, on the other hand, has off until Friday and has every reason to play with full energy despite their talent differences with Chicago. Ring in the New Year with at least a spirited effort. Right?
I am going with Charlotte +11.5
Good luck with your plays.
