My bad, been very slack with the standings. Will do my best to get them updated soon...
Two very important games for 3 of the 4 teams playing.
The Sky sit in 8th right now, Stars nothing to play for at all. The Sky can get closer to 7th with a win. This game is very interesting, if you all remember the Stars got their very first win of the season against Chicago in SA about 2 months ago by memory. It went to OT as well. The Sky have certainly turned their season around since then and playing good ball and got a good win against the Dream even though they were on a B2B and won the night before that in Indiana. The Stars are definitely playing a lot better but can they put that form on the road? The Stars are horrendous on the road and I really think the Sky come out flying in this game to try and hold down 8th spot in the playoffs.
Mercury @ Wings is another game with massive implications. The Wings have the Sun up next in Conn so a win here is a must but then you also have Phoenix needing a win before BG gets back to build some momentum and try and grab 4th spot but its slowly sliding away from them. They didn't play well at all against a Mystics team missing some key players. They have a brutal schedule coming up, after this they head home to face the Storm, then on the road to to play Mystics again, then at Sun, then to Minny and then home to play Sparks. This game for Phoenix is huge and looking at that schedule coming up, they will be lucky to win 2-3 games which would really slide them down the standings.

The stars got in a nice little groove winning all those games at home for the fans, but I think that groove is over. I believe Chicago will step it up a notch at home and bring it. I'm hoping for a better line, but I'm willing to to back them at -7.

Do you know of any injuries or players out?
Thanks for all the information and insight.
GLMK
Kush, no injuries i am aware of, just the 2 girls that they traded away (Young and Boyette). I like the Sky today as well, purely for the fact that they need to keep winning for playoffs, they were laying -6.5 a week ago when they hosted the Mercury and can the Stars replicate their home performances on the road? Plum is definitely playing a lot better now for the Stars but I just think the Sky will be to much to handle.

I got Chicago- 6@1,79 on pinnacle. News just release that Moriah Jefferson wont play due to knee injury. And the stars still are the worst team in this league Also Griner may return today

Absolutely loving Dallas in this match-up because of a few reasons.
The Griner injury will be a massive impact for this game against a team like the Wings who can rebound like no-one else in the league with Paris and Powers. The Mercury do have the scorers to keep this game interesting and the Wings don't play any defense at all but Dallas knows that if they want to control their playoff destiny, they need to do this on their home court because their road form is below average and they have tough road games coming up against the Sun x 2, Mystics and Sky. They need wins badly at home and I think they still remember last time they played Phoenix when Phoenix rocked their world by embarrassing them by 40+

WOW I didn't know that buddy, I thought that Griner was going to return next match back home against Storm. They had her return date as of 12 August.
In other news, did anyone see the Storm sacked Boucek? New coach is Klappenburg.

San Antonio Stars @ Chicago Sky (non contest play). Sky -6.5
Another team who was embarrassed over a month ago.The Stars got their first win against the Sky not long ago and now with Jefferson out and De'Souza questionable, Johnson has a pretty diminished roster and the Sky need to pounce on that if they want some playoff basketball this season. They have the goods to get it done and like i said before, the Sky actually were laying this exact number against Mercury last week and didn't win the game because the Mercury actually have depth but this Stars team IMHO don't have much depth and with the way the Sky have been playing since the ASG, I think they can get a win by DD's tonight.
P.S. Just going to start posting all my plays now, rather than just my contest plays.

Tough loss that won.. Wings were cruising at 51-39 late in the 2Q but allowed some silly points at the end of that quarter to give the Mercury some hope. Then they took a 6 point lead in OT but couldn't hold on. I guess inexperience and nervousness got the best of them. Sky pounced on a depleted Stars team and thump them..
So the playoff seedings are as follows:
1. Lynx
2. Sparks
3. Sun
4. Mystics
5. Mercury
6. Liberty 7. Wings
8. Sky
9. Storm (have the tie-breaker over Dream) 10. Dream
11. Fever
12. Stars
And remember, the playoffs goes like this.
Round 1 - One game playoff elimination
5 vs 8 (Mercury vs Sky)
6 vs 7 (Liberty vs Wings).
Round 2 - One game playoff elimination
Lowest ranked winner from the games above will play 3rd spot (Sun).
Highest ranked winner from the games above will play 4th (Mystics).
Round 3 (5 game playoff series)
Lowest ranked winner from Round 2 plays 1st (Lynx)
Highest ranked winner from Round 2 plays 2nd (Sparks).
Round 4 (5 game playoff series)
Winners from both Round 3 face off for the WNBA Championship
