In my opinion, if the oddsmakers had agreed with you on that, they would have posted the Patriots as 7-point favorites. Instead, they sent out 9.5, and 70-80% of the public started shoving each other aside to grab all those (soon to be worthless) points.

In the past 15 years 10 teams playing in the wild card round made the SB. Seems to be the trend these days.
One of those teams played the 5th longest games in history, 75:10 compared to the Ravens 76:42, and the 2003 Panthers would go on to defeat the no.1 seeded Eagles and cover the spread against................quess who.................these same Tom Brady led Pats in the SB.
There's one example of a team playing a long game doing well in the weeks to follow, not sure of others thou.................................

If only Andy Reid were coaching the Patriots tomorrow, I think you'd really be onto something!

You know what? You can't measure emotion, desire, and moviation. To sit there and think the Ravens won't be in this game and get blown out? It just crazy, never known the Ravens to ever get blown out of any playoff game. The Purple Pride will take that ride to the Super Bowl. New Orleans, get ready for the Raven Invasion!!!!

Funny listening to arguments for the Pats. They may cover, and Pats backers might be right. But if they don't... you lose money and a lot of wasted time talking about "why" you're right and the next guy - who likes the Ravens - is wrong.
What is Tom Brady takes a BIG shot in the first qtr? ...Where are your bets then? Brady is a front runner - he can win big when he's ahead. He gets nervous in tight games against better competition, starts ducking when nobody is around him. The pressure has piled up on him to be great in BIG games over the years. He's failed a lot in recent years. And against teams like the Ravens he makes mistakes...
Flacco - on the other hand - is like Forrest Gump. He's too stupid to believe he can't win against the legend. That stupidity will serve him well tomorrow, like it did last week in Denver with 31 seconds left... and last year in Foxboro.
To think that anything other than a close game will occur, is to believe the Pats were going to cover 12.5 in the 2007 Super Bowl against the Giants (after they hung with the Pats in the last game of the season)
If you were in that boat in 2007, you're in the same boat now. If you weren't, then welcome aboard the same sinking ship because you're likely to be parting with your hard earned $$$ tomorrow evening.

In the previous 4 years coming into the game Reid was 5-4 ATS, Bill is 4-6 ATS, and you think Bill is better at covering the spread, interesting.
I don't think it's as easy to cover when your team is always 7+ point favorite. If the Pats are a 9 point favorite and win by 7 does that mean Belichick did a lousy job?

Exactly, that's my point, Pats over-valued on the spread.
Why do people say, never bet against Brady and/or Bill when they have been clearly over-valued on the spread ???.......................
