Wow, just wow. Michigan St. just out hustled by Louisville....Was climbing the ladder in the bracket contest and had all of my final four teams still alive until Michigan st. last night... Oh well.
The Orange didn't cover the game, They were lucky to come away with a win as Wisconsin was shooting lights out with the 3 ball. But I was able to win some on the moneyline.....
I want to thank my book I use here in Vegas for coming out with In-game betting for this tournament. I just happened to notice it when I was scrolling through the lines on my phone. As I was watching Michigan St getting whooped on, the line kept going from michigan st +6, to +7 to +8 and I kept biting! Thinking they would make a little run to make it tight toward the end. PUT THE PHONE DOWN! PUT THE PHONE DOWN!
That's O.K. Bama, I think Florida is ready to Chomp through whoever they run across. They are looking good.

It definately gets harder to press the submit button the longer your streak is. And if you get past the 17 mark, all that is on your mind is how close the 25,000 is.... My streak ended at 18. So I know thewhitesmith at 20 was feeling the weight of that money.
I waited 5 days before taking that final pick to end my streak, and there were plenty of games I loved that I just couldn't pull the trigger on. Arizona had a nice run at that time, and I came so close, but no.
I don't put a lot of time into stats and past performances against certain matchups just for the fact I feel a manager, team, or pitcher are going to adjust for their previous failures. That's why I say stats are only as true as the game that is about to be played.
My streak ended on a gut play with the St. Louis Cardinals that of course ended up winning the World Series. The only reason why I bring that up is a couple of people couldn't understand why I took them at the time, as they were playing the mighty Milwaukee Brewers. The Cards had just gotten Edwin Jackson from the White Sox. He got whooped on by the Brewers at Milwaukee, and 6 days later would be making his home debut in front of the crowd at St. Louis. I knew the Brew Crew were hot, but I felt St Louis was ready for some payback. Jackson got down a couple of runs, but held his own. St Louis just wasn't hitting the ball that well. Especially PUJOLS, that went 0-5 or 0-6. And had multiple opportunities with men on base. The game did end up going to extra innings which made my heart race like crazy again just to ache after they gave up 2 runs in the 10th, then lost.
I would have taken them again in that spot. But I do wish I would have trusted myself to take a few other games that I balked on before that one. I say if you have a feeling, go for it. Then you won't have the feeling of regret for what you feel you should have done. NO GUTS, NO GLORY!!!!
Ahhh, I love Baseball. I don't think I've ever passed 8 on any other sport.
