There are a few teams out there that probably deserved a chance at the NC, but the BCS just seemed to screw them out of the chance that they earned. A perfect example would be Boise State in '06 I believe. They had a perfect record and didn't get the credit they deserved. I personally am not a Boise State fan, but that was a good team! Sports analysts said it was because of their strength of schedule, or lack there of, but they proved that wasn't the case when they went on the beat a great Sooners team. A play-off could give teams like Boise State their due credit. I am pretty curious to find out how other people feel about the possibility of ending the BCS conract. In the article I read, the only person that had much of an arguement other than the whens and wheres was the SEC spokesperson. He brought up the same ole thing. You guessed it, strength of schedule! That's what everyone is trying to get away from. SEC bias!!

if ther eis a playoff, and its open to all teams and not each conf is a lock for a playoff spot, sec will dominate this dont be suprised 2 or 3 sec schools each year in the final 4 teams left in semi finals.

It doesn't really matter where all the good teams are located, weather it be the SEC, the Big-12, or even the Pac-12, as long as they are all given the same oportunity. If all four teams that make it are SEC, then they earned those spots, but at least every other team would be able to say they were all given the same chance, and not favored buy a bias computer ranking system.

Oh and LSU and Bama yeah, I will give you thsat one. Arkansas hangs in the balance somewhere, but I would easily give that number 3 spot to Oregon, and I think USC would fit in the 5th to 8th range right in there with Arkansas. The pac-12 has a great chance of producing 3 top 10 teams again this year. Not to mention the big-12. Texas and Oklahoma have a rich history of National championships aswell.

Yeah, from the reading I have done on the mettings by the commitee in Dallas, that is the most important thing. Filling seats, whitch is tough to do when people can't afford the travels. They said that it would most likely be a 4 team play-off, but they want to, if at all possible, salvage all of the bowl games. So the computer would still do all the ranking up to a certain point in the season, then the play-off would take over. That is the most likely sanario.

I do too, their just to many teams nationwide to completely go to a play-off. and keeping the bowl games. SEC will still get their bias, puting more of their teams in the 4 team play-off, but at least it won't end up like LSU, Bama last year. Yes, Bama was the best team in the country, but there was a lot of oneloss teams that deserved to move forward the same as Bama. Now with a play-off that BS won't happen again.

Not really sure how you can say that. If Alabama and LSU qualified as the best two teams in college football last season, simply logic finds they would have qualified to be in the top 4. And if they were ranked among the top 4, unless they played each other in the first round, it still would have been Alabama and LSU in the national championship game.
I think a 4-team playoff will greatly increase the odds that we could see another all-SEC championship game, not reduce or eliminate it.

You just basiclly said the same thing I did. I am not saying that it didn't work out the way it should have, but the strength of schedule gave Bama that tiny bit more they needed to send them to the NC. There were a lot of people that thought Oklahoma St, or Stanford deserved just as much of a chance. In a four team play-off, two SEC teams might make it, but nobody would have any arguement about how their team should have made it. I personally thought Bama had the best team in the country, but shouldn't have been allowed in the NC, for one reason, they were not even considered the best team in their conference. I believe you should required to win you conference in order to move foreward. Actually a four team play-off would reduce the amount of teams from the SEC allowed in the play-off. That was one of the first things that was brought up, and they all seemed to be on the same page, that you have to win your conference to progress. Well everyone but the SEC guy was on that page. Because he said that his conference deserved the srength of schedule factor. I don't believe they do, because it would only mean that what ever SEC prevailed over the others would be that much better that the rest of the country. I don't believe any team should be given anything the other teams aren't.
