Had some pics and videos on an iPod touch that were erased. Is there an easy way to recover them?
I've heard that it is as easy as plugging it into my laptop(I have PC) and syncing to my iTunes account AS LONG as Photostreaming was enabled on the device. Is that true? If yes, then problem solved.
Thing is my iPod touch is at a friends(loaned it to her for vacation and she accidentally erased my pics and vids). I've asked her to check if Photostreaming is enabled on the device and she has no idea(dopey was playing with the settings and dont know if it was on or off since she was playing IT girl and playing with things). Gonna see her next week and if Photostreaming is on, case closed. But if its not enabled, I would like to order whatever software is needed NOW so next Monday when she's home, I'll have what I need ready so I can immediately retrieve those photos and videos.
So am I right about Photostreaming and if its enabled, I plug in my iPod to my computer and iTunes and I'm good? If that's not the case, any suggestions for software and maybe a quick explanation how to retrieve the "hard" way?
Thanks. This idiot really deleted some important stuff to me. I am OCD with backing up stuff to my hdd and also disks, but realized after she gave the bad news that I haven't backed up anything since Xmas.

I'm pretty sure if its a newer generation iPod Touch you should be okay, that's if you have synced your pictures into iTunes. I know with iCloud turned on, on iPad and IPhone, any picture you take will sync to all other Apple devices.
You can always call your local Apple Store. The nerds their can give you a quick yes or no answer. They're pretty helpful.

Thanks guys. I haven't synced them with itunes. Heard that even if your pics are deleted, there is a way to get them back(iCloud or Photostreaming) or through 3rd party software.
