Expecting some showers tomorrow but that won't bother me. I've been waiting for my boys to come back since April. Expect small fields next week as GP argues with Calder horseman over stall space and other stuff. They threaten to withdraw entries unless issues are resolved. They already withdrew 13 for Wed card forcing an 8 race card. Idiots continue to ruin the sport. Will be out of the house early so here are some I like Sat. No time for writeups tonight...
Early DD 5,7,11 with 3,5
All other plays will be tri/ex boxes
R3-1-7-10 (BTW..Expect to see Wes Welker in the walking ring; he owns #1)
R4-4-5-6-9
R5 1-6-9 (like the 9 to run big & will pay across the board)
R6- 2-6-7-13 (WP play on #7)
R7-6-11-12 (will wheel the #6 in the ex & a WP play)

absolutely love Peb Hughes @ 6-1 in Race 6 as well great selections here Mid best of luck
also like a nice price in RACE 3 with the 9 Too Fast To Pass 12-1 is super juicy .... I think we'll see a different (for the better) horse today with Elvis aboard....

In the 8th, #14 Silver Screamer will be starting way out on the track but she won from the 13 hole in her last. She's a big gray with her regular jock Espinoza up. I think she's the best.
Also noticed a former poster's (Greyhound) favorite Nikki's Sandcastle in the 9th. He's the always trying type & should be there at the end.
Also found that Curlina (one of my favs) is in the 8th @ the BigA today. She isn't in the greatest of form but I'll throw a few bucks on her @ 15-1.

WOW....just got home. What a great opening day. I don't know how much you guys saw but it was pretty good. I was surprised not to see Welker there for his winner, The Ramsey coalition hasn't arrived yet because they are very visible in the paddock area. It's great to look at jocks in the walking ring and you can see them adjusting the saddle, pulling on the reigns to let their mount know who is boss. Freakin fantastic to see! A lot of ladies there today who wore outfits that I would never let my daughter wear. For some reason the crowd was giving Tricky person Dutrow crap in the paddock area which kind of ticked me off because I was on his horse. Anyway I've got a shitload to share tomorrow about what I saw today. Got a historical play tomorrow; really just a trainer that is usually hot early. Hell, it's Little Drama for trainer Michael Mariena. I'm not going nuts on the play so I hope you don't either. It's just like I say...a historical play. Anyway, hope you made some bucks. There were some very excellent rides today which reminded me of the difference between Rosario and a guy like Cottto who blew the 2nd race which was great for anyone who had the $69 DD.......

Something I learned before the 3rd race Saturday.....Wes Welker's gelding who won the race is named Undrafted because that's what Welker was coming out of Texas Tech.....undrafted!
