I've always wanted to make a trip to Vegas for the Super Bowl, and this is finally the weekend! I've never been to Sin City, so I'm pretty excited.
Went to my bank up here in Canada today to convert over an amount of cash to USD that I wouldn't feel like shit if I lost, and settled on $2,800.
I fly out Sunday AM, scheduled to land in Vegas at about 11:00 which should give me plenty of time to get down to Caesar's Palace and make my first bet of $1,400 on the Giants moneyline. Hopefully that cashes and raises my bankroll to $4,200 or so. If not, then I'll start phase 2 with $1,400.
I don't plan on sleeping, so I didn't book a room or anything. After the game I'll walk the strip for a bit and head to the Bellagio and saddle in for a marathon poker session.
Whatever I have left of my bankroll will head back to Caesars on Monday night for basketball betting. I fly back Tuesday morning, probably sleep the whole flight Wish me luck!

Line up earlier at the wager window, it some time takes more than 45 minutes for your turn to place a bet on Super Bowl.
Get a room at a local small size clean motel, ask Taxi driver he might take you to it. Get some rest on Sunday night, it will be pretty exhausted after the game. You will need some good sleep and ready to go on Monday morning. You will need well rested mind on table games!!

Are taxi guys that shady in Vegas...like even getting a ride from the airport to a hotel is risky?
Not most of them when it is coming down to find a clean place to sleep.
Had one time, it's long time ago, when a buddy of mine and me went to Vegas without reserving a room to stay. Guess what happened? we were just so exhausted in second day that lost apetising and so sleepy we did not play long in second day. We were so doozy when we were on our way driving home, and it was so dangerous driving home.
It's pretty much exhausted when you spent a day/night at a casino, you should get a room whatever you get. You will need a well rested mind on table games!

Thanks for the advice guys....I booked a room at Caesar's for Sunday night just in case.
Good luck to everyone on their plays!
i like that decision, take a bath right after the SB and you're ready for some actions on table games in the night. The sportsbook windows will jam packed shortly after the game, very long lines for cashing out so many winning tickets, it sometimes will take you more than one hour to cash your own.
Set your limit on the table games or slot machines, don't ever bust all of your football winning on the table games or slots if Giants win.

Questions about betting in Las Vegas....do they take a portion of anything you win right at the cage for taxation?
Up in Canada we don't have to worry about our winnings being taxes...how does it work down there?
You're ok if your winning ticket is under US$10,000 as far as i know. Ask sportsbook manager before you place the bet, he/she should hand out a clear answer.

I've been up for 48 hours straight....finally laying down for some sleep.
After hitting the Giants, I went on a nice little run at the blackjack tables, then sat in for an all-day poker session which was only mildly successful.
I'm up about $5,600 and extended the trip one more day. Gonna sleep until 3 or so then camp out at the Caesars book for a night of hoops.
