belfort - he has already received 2 title shots recently - he would need ATLEAST 1 more dominat win, if not 2. He did step up to fight Bones, and that may carry some weight in Dana's mind
Lombard - 2 or 3 wins away IMO, lackluster vs Boetsch, beating an average Palhares, can't be too close
Diaz - not with an upcoming GSP title fight
Okami - 2-3 wins away from another shot
Weidman - I think he still needs one more win
Spider doesn't seem too interested fighting many guys, but the belt can't just hang in inactivity

Glad to see I am not one of the only ppl that thinks that Weidman isn't just this elite n1c. In all honesty, who has he beaten that's legit in the MW division? Plz no one say Munoz because Munoz was just a product of the UFC hype train trying to build someone up. When you look at his record he has two close fights w/ guys that are now welterweights in A Simpson and Maia... so his legit biggest wins are Leben and Dalloway. That's the guy Weidman beat to be the n1c?
With Luck Rock and Jacare coming over from SF it will add a little depth. If Costa fights Luke on April 7 like Luke is calling for and Luke wins, I say you give him the shot. It may seem quick to the bounce but its a SF champion coming in getting a win over a now contender.
If Lombard beats Okami I think you have to give him a shot as well. The fact of the matter is Tim just "caught him" and no matter how you look at it Okami is top 4 at min in that division at any given time.

I see Lombard knocking bitches out, left and right. Give Lombard the fight with Bisping and if he wins, he fights Vitor if Vitor wins his match against Kennedy. The winner of Lombard/Vitor could be next in line. If that fight doesn't materialize, I see Roger Gracie or Ronaldo Souza making a strong case for number one contender. But who knows how long that will be.

I don't care who they pick from the stable of current UFC guys at MW, Silva needs to defend his belt a little more than he currently is. 3 times in a hair under 2 years is not cutting it.
