I'd like to wish the good people on this forum a merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy New Year.
Even though I got honorable mention as a capper in a few threads, all the regulars here know that epithet really only applies to a few people here, I'm not gonna mention them by name, because then I'll skip someone and that wouldn't be cool. But to do the work, the research, developing a feel for certain plays (totals, handicaps, sides) and then to post almost every day -for free- , it's not easy. Thanks you guys, you know who you are, I read your threads every day, you all made me money this year.
I've looked around in the other sports forums and I still think this one is special. We're all anonymous gamblers here, but every day someone shares a good story or anecdote, I like the posted plays and the betting info, but being an expat in a foreign country, I don't have all that many friends, and this forum provides me with some much needed social interaction, I want to mention some people, without being inclusive, that somehow made my days a little better, or lighter or funnier through the year.
Bake, for being the mother goose of this place, always looking out for his ducklings, always respectful and ready to help out, class act.
Billy and Happyshine, for keeping my faith in humanity with their selfless good deeds for others.
Disbarred and Elsewhere, for making me laugh so hard, I swear I'm gonna s#$t my pants one day.
Barbarossa, for being the king of overs and adding that beautiful, salty political incorrectness to the live threads.
P_66, for always being there first thing in the morning, someone tho "share" that first cup of coffee with.
GambleForProfit, Cowboys and Diamondjack, for being what I would aspire to become one day.
Colts, for being a helpful and respectful poster, year after year.
Malachiwhy, for making me shake my head every time I see your avatar.
And all the other guys, that make this place cool to hang out for me. I hope I will always find the time to pop in here.
Best wishes to all of you and your families!
