Bills 24, Browns 14: Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for three touchdown passes to give him a league-leading eight as visiting Buffalo kept Cleveland winless.

Fitzpatrick completed 22 of 35 passes for 208 yards and threw a pair of first-quarter scoring passes as the Bills (2-1) jumped out to a 14-0 lead and withstood the loss of C.J. Spiller, the NFL's leading rusher.

Tashard Choice rushed for 91 yards on 20 carries in place of Spiller, who caught a 32-yard TD strike on a screen pass before suffering a left shoulder injury late in the first quarter. Buffalo already was without starter Fred Jackson, who was hurt in Week 1.

Browns rookie Brandon Weeden threw for 237 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. His 22-yard scoring pass to Travis Benjamin pulled the Browns within 17-14 with 2:27 left in the third quarter, but he was picked off with 4:21 to play.

Rookie Trent Richardson, the No. 3 overall pick of Cleveland (0-3), could not get untracked and finished with 27 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries as the Browns suffered their ninth consecutive loss dating to last season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bills WR Stevie Johnson's fourth-quarter TD gave him a scoring pass in each of the first three games for the second consecutive season and extended his streak with at least one catch to 35 games. ... The Browns were held to 13 yards and zero first downs in the opening quarter and finished with 240 yards for the game. ... Spiller had entered the game as the second back in NFL history (Jim Brown, 1963) to average more than 10 yards per carry in his first two games of the season.
