Bishop Sankey rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns as the Huskies snapped their six-game road losing streak.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins added eight receptions for a career-high 154 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown with 41 seconds left in the third quarter for Washington (5-4, 3-3 Pac-12), which won its second in a row after losing three straight.

Sankey added the clinching score with his 1-yard touchdown run with 4:11 remaining. California (3-7, 2-5) was eliminated from bowl eligibility after losing for the sixth time in its last eight games.

Sankey put the Huskies ahead early with a 4-yard touchdown run with 6:36 left in the first quarter after Isi Sofele fumbled on California’s first drive. The teams combined for eight turnovers, including four in the fourth quarter.

Chris Harper tied the game with a 14-yard touchdown run with 2:46 left in the first half, and California led 13-7 after two Vincenzo D’Amato field goals in the third quarter. Harper added seven receptions for 101 yards.

D’Amato’s streak of 11 straight field goals ended when he missed from 41 yards with 13:55 left in the fourth quarter. Washington proceeded to score 14 unanswered points for its first road win since Oct. 1, 2011 at Utah.

GAME NOTEBOOK: California played without leading receiver Keenan Allen, who suffered a knee injury last week against Utah. …Washington had lost its last six road games by 17 or more points. …Bears LB Nick Forbes had 11 tackles, recovered two fumbles and tallied his first career interception. …California QB Zach Maynard left the game late in the fourth quarter with a left leg injury. …C.J. Anderson led California's offense with 160 yards on 21 carries.
