Texas Tech 24, Iowa State 13: Seth Doege went 30-of-46 for 331 yards and three touchdowns as the visiting Red Raiders avenged back-to-back losses to Iowa State.

Eric Ward had nine catches for 122 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown that was set up by Cornelius Douglas' second interception of Steele Jantz.

Texas Tech (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) led the country in total defense entering the game (160.3 yards) and allowed only 189 yards while forcing four turnovers.

Jantz finished 10-of-20 for 73 yards with a touchdown and three picks.

Linebacker A.J. Klein got the Cyclones (3-1, 0-1) on the board by returning the first of Doege's first two interceptions 87 yards with 1:42 left in the first quarter.
