South Carolina 31, Missouri 10: Marcus Lattimore scored twice less than a minute apart to spark a 21-point second quarter and the eighth-ranked Gamecocks breezed in their Southeastern Conference matchup.

Quarterback Connor Shaw was nearly flawless, throwing for 249 yards and a touchdown and setting a school record with 20 consecutive completions as South Carolina (4-0, 2-0 SEC) extended its winning streak to eight dating to last season.

Shaw, who was knocked out of last week's game against Alabama-Birmingham and is playing with a hairline fracture in his throwing shoulder, misfired on his first attempt before hitting his next 20. He finished 20-for-21 for 249 yards with TD passes to Ace Sanders and Rory Anderson.

Lattimore rushed for 85 yards on 21 carries and was the Gamecocks' leading receiver with seven catches for 60 yards as South Carolina won its seventh straight home game to start 4-0 for the second consecutive season.

Shaw's 23-yard scoring pass to Sanders with 24 seconds left in the first half made it 21-3 after James Franklin led a long drive culminating in a 22-yard field goal by Andrew Baggett. Franklin threw for only 92 yards as the Gamecocks came within 17 seconds of holding Missouri without a touchdown for the first time since October 2005.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lattimore surpassed 1980 Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers and Harold Green for the most rushing touchdowns in school history with 32. ... Franklin was also playing hurt after sitting out last week's game with an inflamed bursa sac in his right shoulder. ... Shaw fell three shy of the SEC record of 23 consecutive completions set by Tennessee's Tee Martin against South Carolina in 1998.
