Tauren Poole rushed for two touchdowns as host Tennessee snapped a four-game losing streak with a 24-0 victory over Middle Tennessee on Saturday.

Freshman Justin Worley was 23-of-31 for 291 yards and threw his first career touchdown - a 47-yarder to Da'Rick Rogers - as Tennessee (4-5) took a break from the rigors of its Southeastern Conference schedule.

The Volunteers snapped a 10-quarter scoreless streak on Poole's first touchdown, a 1-yard run in the first quarter.

Poole's 7-yard touchdown run gave Tennessee a 21-0 lead in the third quarter.

Rogers caught nine passes for 137 yards.

The Blue Raiders, who play out of the Sun Belt Conference, fell to 2-6.
