Second-ranked Alabama displayed a balanced offense and dominant defense en route to a 38-14 victory over visiting Arkansas on Saturday for its 20th consecutive victory in Southeastern Conference openers.
Trent Richardson rushed for 126 yards - his third consecutive 100-yard game - and had a 61-yard touchdown catch for Alabama, which has won 23 of its last 24 home games.
The Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0 SEC), who have won five straight over Arkansas, have held opponents to less than 300 total yards in 33 of coach Nick Saban's 58 games.
Arkansas (3-1, 0-1) entered leading the SEC in scoring, passing and total offense, but the Razorbacks' pass-happy unit was no match for Alabama's defense.
Alabama forced Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson into two interceptions, one of which went for a touchdown, and held the Razorbacks nearly 300 yards below their season average of 517.3.
The Razorbacks, who had won nine of their last 10 games, entered as one of six teams in the nation that had not allowed a rushing touchdown, but Eddie Lacy changed that with a 4-yard touchdown late in the third quarter.
Five of Alabama's 20 straight victories in SEC openers have come against Arkansas.
