Recap: Miami 33, North Carolina 10

Jacory Harris threw three touchdown passes, and No. 25 Miami turned a close game into a 33-10 victory over North Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference on Saturday night.

The Tar Heels (4-3, 2-2 ACC) held a 10-3 lead early in the second quarter after Johnny White busted loose on a 76-yard touchdown run.

The Hurricanes (5-2, 3-1 ACC) answered with a Matt Bosher field goal, followed by the first of Harris' touchdowns, a 6-yarder to LaRon Byrd that gave Miami a 13-10 lead at the break.

Harris threw a 24-yard score to Travis Benjamin and 19-yard score to Leonard Hankerson in the third quarter, and Damien Berry closed the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run with 9:08 left in the fourth quarter.

Harris finished 21 of 32 for 217 yards and one interception. Berry led all rushers with 109 yards on 19 carries. Miami had 225 rushing yards and outgained North Carolina 442-289.

Miami plays at Virginia next week, while the Tar Heels step out of conference to play host to William & Mary.
