Recap: Texas A&M 27, Florida International 20

Texas A&M rallied for 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to escape a major upset bid from Florida International 27-20 on Saturday at Kyle Field in College Station.

The Panthers of the Sun Belt Conference appeared to be in control, leading 20-6 with 6:54 in the third after Anthony Gaitor returned a Jarrod Johnson interception 54 yards for a touchdown. FIU picked off Johnson four times.

But A&M woke in the fourth quarter. The Aggies (3-0) got their first lead of the game at 27-20 with 4:29 left to play when Cyrus Gray scored on a 40-yard touchdown run. Johnson finished 11 of 31 for 194 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. Aggies running back Christine Michael rushed 21 times for 119 yards and a touchdown.
