Offense carries Blue Jays over Yankees

TORONTO -- Russell Martin had two doubles and three RBIs, Teoscar Hernandez homered for the third straight game and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees 9-5 on Sunday.
Toronto right fielder Jose Bautista, possibly playing his final home game with the team, had two singles and an RBI as the Blue Jays (73-83) won the rubber match of the three-game series.
Bautista took right field alone just before the game started as his teammates applauded from the dugout and the crowd gave a standing ovation.
With one out in the ninth, Ezequiel Carrera replaced Bautista in right field. Bautista left the field with a standing ovation, hugged some teammates along the way and then returned from the dugout for a curtain call.
Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman (13-8) allowed five hits, four walks and three runs while striking out two in 5 2/3 innings to earn his second straight win.
Aaron Judge hit his league-leading 47th and 48th homers for the Yankees (86-67) and had three RBIs.
Yankees starter Jaime Garcia (5-10) allowed four hits, three walks and five runs in 2 1/3 innings. The left-hander struck out four.
Hernandez led off the bottom of the first with his fifth homer of the season and the first of his career leading off a game.
The Blue Jays scored again in the second on Darwin Barney's sacrifice fly that scored Kevin Pillar, who doubled and stole third.
Martin hit a three-run double in the third and Toronto led 5-0.
Justin Smoak doubled with one out, and Bautista and Kendrys Morales walked to load the bases. Jonathan Holder, who replaced Garcia, got a foul out to third before yielding Martin's bases-clearing hit to right center.
The Yankees scored in the fourth. Chase Headley and Aaron Judge walked before Didi Gregorius hit an RBI single.
The Blue Jays scored four runs in the fourth against Bryan Mitchell.
Ryan Goins singled, Hernandez walked and Josh Donaldson hit an RBI single. Smoak walked and Bautista hit an RBI single. Kendrys Morales hit a two-run single with Bautista being thrown out at home in a close play as he tried to score from first on the hit.
Judge led off the sixth with a homer. Stroman retired the next two batters on grounders before giving up a double to Jacoby Ellsbury and walking Todd Frazier.
Matt Dermody replaced Stroman and gave up an RBI double to Greg Bird before Ryan Tepera took over to end the inning on Austin Romine's grounder to third.
Tepera allowed a one-out single to Chase Headley and the 48th homer of the season by Judge in the seventh and was replaced by Aaron Loup, who pitched around a single with two strikeouts to end the inning.
Toronto's Tom Koehler pitched a perfect eighth.
After New York's Giovanny Gallegos pitched around a double over two innings, Dellin Betances took over in the bottom of the eighth and overcame a hit batter.
Roberto Osuna struck out the side in the ninth to end the game.
NOTES: Toronto RF Jose Bautista, who could have played his final home game with the Blue Jays Sunday, received a standing ovation when he came to bat in the first inning.
