SEATTLE -- Jean Segura scored on Blake Treinen's wild pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth inning and the Seattle Mariners rallied from a four-run deficit to defeat the Oakland Athletics 7-6 on Saturday night.

The Mariners loaded the bases against Treinen as Segura reached on an error followed by a single by Yonder Alonso and an intentional walk to Robinson Cano.

Nelson Cruz struck out and Kyle Seager hit a shallow fly to left, setting up Treinen's wild pitch and Segura's winning dash.

An early four-run Athletics lead -- largely fueled by a three-run blast by Matt Joyce in the fourth inning – wasn't enough to keep the Mariners at bay. Solo homers by Segura and Yonder Alonso in the fifth inning chipped away and an RBI double by Segura in the sixth pulled the Mariners closer.

Finally, Zunino's solo shot in the eighth off Oakland reliever Chris Hatcher -- the seventh homer of the night -- evened the score at 6.

Oakland hit three home runs in the game. Joyce's blast in the fourth preceded by solo homers by Bruce Maxwell and Khris Davis.

Seattle got a two-run homer from Cano as well as those by Zunino, Segura and Alonso. The Mariners got a big night from Segura, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs in addition to his fireworks.

Seattle also got a fine performance by left-hander Marco Gonzalez, who pitched four scoreless innings of relief with five strikeouts.

The Mariners (68-68) won their second straight over the A's in the series and kept pace in the American League wild-card chase to stay 3 1/2 games back.

The Athletics (58-77) suffered their fifth straight loss.

Edwin Diaz (3-5) got the win by pitching a scoreless ninth for the Mariners. Treinen took the loss, giving up an unearned run in two-thirds of an inning.
