Favorites to win the GEICO 500
Denny Hamlin is the betting favorite to win the GEICO 500 at +650 odds. Hamlin is coming off a difficult second-place finish at the Toyota Owners 400, a race that he led for 207 laps and lost, just barely, on the last 10 to Alex Bowman. Still, it continued what has been an impressive season for Hamlin, who recorded his eighth Top-5 finish and will be looking for his second career victory at this event.
Second on the odds board is Joey Logano (+900), who finished third behind Bowman and Hamlin at the Toyota Owners 400. Logano, who won this race in 2018, has placed in the Top 10 in all but two races and won the Food City Dirt Race back on March 29, his lone victory of the season.
Ryan Blaney, last year's GEICO 500 winner, is next at +1,000 odds. Blaney is coming off back-to-back 11th-place finishes but did win the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 last month.
Chase Elliott and Brad Keselowski round out the Top 5, tied at +1,100 odds. Both have won this race before. Elliott, who was victorious two years ago, is the favorite to win the NASCAR Cup Series, while Keselowski is a three-time winner of the GEICO 500.
How to bet on NASCAR
The most popular way to bet on NASCAR is by simply picking the winner of a race, which is also referred to as an outright. There are plenty of other ways to wager, including betting on whether or not a driver will finish in the Top 3 or Top 10 of a race.
Another popular betting option is head-to-head matchup betting, where sportsbooks pair up two drivers and you choose who you think will finish better in the race, which is far easier than trying to select someone to win out of a field of approximately 40 drivers.
