With a whopping 15 games on today’s MLB schedule, including four matinee matchups, we have a cornucopia of MLB prop bets to wager on all day long.

Today, we focus on a pair of red-hot hitters: Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts and Toronto Blue Jays phenom Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Can the two American League East stars slug their way to some profits for us?

We break down and pick those games and more with our best free MLB prop bets and predictions for Wednesday, May 26.

Today’s MLB props and picks

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Vladimir Guerrero is the hottest hitter on the planet. Full stop.

The Toronto Blue Jays phenom is absolutely raking right now and the MVP hype is real.

Guerrero is currently the second favorite to win the American League MVP award thanks in part to an 11-game stretch where he is hitting .422 with a ridiculous 1.535 OPS, which includes eight monster dingers.

Wednesday, he goes up against New York Yankees starter Domingo German. The right-hander has decent overall numbers but a deeper dive shows most of his success came against Cleveland, Baltimore, Washington, and Texas — while in three starts against Toronto, Tampa Bay, and Houston he has a 7.50 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP.

That said, whether German is on or not doesn’t matter. Guerrero has proven time and again this season he can swing it against the best in business. Bet him to go Over his total bases prop with confidence.

Marcus Stroman Under 5.5 Hits Allowed (-120)

The Colorado Rockies are having a historically bad season on the road. After last night’s loss, the Rockies fell to 3-18 when playing away from Coors Field this season and things won’t get any easier tonight when they face off against New York Mets’ starter Marcus Stroman.

The Rockies manage just 2.71 runs per game, with a .203 batting average and an 0.574 OPS on the road this season — all ranking dead last in the majors. They also average just 6.71 hits per game away from home (also last in the MLB) and now have to deal with Stroman, who is one of the best in the Bigs when it comes to messing up a hitter’s timing.

The right-hander uses a great mix of pitches and hesitations to keep hitters off-balance, creating a lot of soft contact and it looks like the Rockies are doing a good enough job of doing that themselves. Stroman has allowed five or fewer hits in five of his nine starts, and that includes limiting the Rockies to just three hits over eight innings when he last faced them back on April 18.

Xander Bogaerts Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110) & Over 0.5 HR (+425)

What a month of May Xander Bogaerts is having. The Boston Red Sox shortstop is hitting the lights out in leading the BoSox to a 29-20 record, as Bogaerts is hitting .359 with a 1.087 OPS with six home runs and 17 RBIs over 21 games this month.

Currently, he is on a six-game hitting streak and will get the chance to keep rolling as he and his teammates face off against Drew Smyly and the Atlanta Braves.

Smyly’s tenure in Atlanta has not gone well to this point, as the lefty just hasn’t been missing many barrels. Smyly ranks in the bottom eighth of the league in hard-hit percentage and the bottom 16th in barrel percentage. As a result, he has been lit up to the tune of a 5.11 ERA and has given up the third-most home runs this season, allowing 11 round-trippers in just 37 innings pitched.

Bet on Bogaerts to extend his hit streak to seven, going over 1.5 total bases, and sprinkle something on him to hit a dinger while you’re at it.
