The Oaks Golf Course course notes
The Oaks Golf Course at The International Golf Club is located under 50 miles from Boston and plays as a 6,965-yard Par 72.
It is a Tom Fazio-designed track that just recently oversaw significant restoration from Tripp Davis, including a complete bunker renovation, extended tee boxes, and more.
LIV Golf Invatational Boston favorites
Cameron Smith (+550)
All eyes will be on Cameron Smith this week as he was just announced as LIV's shiny new toy.
The No. 2-ranked Aussie is fresh off his best season as a pro on the PGA Tour, including three wins and his first major victory at The Open Championship.
Making his debut this weekend, it's clear Smith — along with Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson — will be the face of the LIV Golf moving forward.
Dustin Johnson (+600)
Dustin Johnson has been in the mix in each of the three LIV events he's played in, including a T2 in the last Bedminster event and enters this second on the board at +600.
The former World No. 1 has also played well in recent major championships, finishing T24 at Brookline (U.S. Open) and T6 at St. Andrews just a few weeks ago.
Joaquin Niemann (+900)
Another new name that was announced earlier today is Joaquin Niemann.
The Chilean broke through on the PGA Tour with a win at the Genesis Invitational earlier this year and has followed it up with some strong results of late: T13 at FedEx St. Jude, T8 at the BMW, and the ninth-best 72-hole score at the TOUR Championship last weekend.
LIV Golf Invitational Boston sleepers
Matthew Wolff (+2,800)
Despite a roller-coaster career on the PGA Tour, Matthew Wolf appears to have found himself with LIV.
He went T8 in Portland and then followed it up with a runner-up finish in Bedminster on the backs of a final-round 64.
He drives the absolute heck out of the ball and is a solid putter. His iron play was often the only thing standing in his way of more consistent contention on Tour.
With that said, he's a proven winner with undeniable talent, making it a matter of when not if he wins one of these things.
Sam Horsfield (+4,500)
Sam Horsfield's name doesn't carry much weight in the golf world, but at his best, his game can be good enough to compete with LIV's lighter fields.
He won the Soudal Open back in May and has some other really encouraging results on the DP World Tour this season (12th at Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, fourth at Dubai Desert Classic).
He's also settled into LIV nicely, finishing fifth in London, 11th in Portland, and most recently 16th in Bedminster.
And while many of the guys in this odds range are in bad form or making their LIV debuts, Horsfield gives you consistency with the upside to make this 45/1 number worth your while.
