Question

Fever to win WNBA Championship &#x2B;350I&#x27;ve liked the Fever all season, but Thursday&#x27;s comeback thriller over Seattle was rare - the type of game that can propel good teams to great things.  I was very interested to see how they&#x27;d respond last night.  Would they come out flat after such a dramatic win, or would they come out sharp and ready to build on the momentum?  It was the latter, and in the face of Taurasi&#x27;s return, no less.  That&#x27;s enough for me to take a flier at this point.

Game one for the Fever went exactly the way all games go for teams with starter(s) returning to the line-up after being sidelined with injury - rough. I couldn't believe how generous the Moneyline was for Indiana today. No way they were going to lose that game. Now with the momentum (which admittedly means little), they return home for a "game 3" rematch of a year ago. This time with January. I like Indy's chances.

They won&#x27;t get swept, though they may lose.  But if not, drinks are definitely on me!  Lynx will have been off for a full week by the time game 1 tips.  Indy needs to steal that game.  If they do, we&#x27;ve got a series.  When you win a "game 7" by 16 on the road, you&#x27;re sharp going into the next round.  They&#x27;re competitive with Minny.

Correction: Minnesota wins this 2-1 or 3-0 ATS regardless of Douglas&#x27; status. I applaud Indiana&#x27;s effort in game 3 and overall resilience, but you should take the -350 widely available for Mynx to win the Finals and hedge the bet before game 1.

Probably not a bad idea...but no hedging here.  Made the call back in August, and they&#x27;ve gotten me this far.  Can&#x27;t bail on it now!  Gotta give &#x27;em a chance to finish.  No guts, no glory!

Minny was clearly the play tonight.  No worries.  No hedging.  We got our split, and we&#39;re going home to Indy with a chance to shock the world! (not to mention my bankroll).

Yes, and for your own sake Douglas will not get better before the series is over. IF she plays on Friday I'm doubling down on Minnesota (probably at half since the Lynx, out of 5 WNBA Championship series games they played in 2011-2012, so far are 0-5 ATS in the 1 halves).

This is starting to feel like 2004 all over again.  Lakers,  overwhelmingly favored over Pistons, shockingly lose game 1 at home, but pull out game 2.  Going to Detroit, nobody gave the Pistons a shot to even win a game.  It was of course the Lakers who didn&#39;t win a game.  History tends to repeat.  Indiana Pistonettes, baby!

Yeah right, why don&#x27;t you compare it to the Helmet Catch or Miracle on Ice...What I know is Minnesota has just lost ATS their consecutive 6th first half of the WNBA Final series (2011 and 2012). They have won ATS four out of five so far; so my money is on -7.This is going to remind rugby more than basketball I&#x27;m sure... What Reeve said to her team probably shouldn&#x27;t be aired...Ugly hoops ahead!
