with the shitty competition roger has enjoyed over the years with guys like tsonga, nadal, djokovic and imo youhzny roger may never have ascended to the level he has....i know that might create some arguments here but every year of this aussie open...rogers backhand has always been crap and he always had unforced errors just no one good enough to challenge him

I'd look to Tsonga vs Djoko for 2 reasons
1 - Djoko has to emotionally believe he's won the final if he wins here. He's had such a mountain to climb to overcome the Fed in recent years, there's simply no way he can respect his final opponent to the degree he respected the Fed before this match = anticlimax
2 - recent shock mens finalists at the Oz Open - Baggy, Gonzo - did nothing in the final. It's simply a matter of percentages that a shock finalist will eventually show the form in the final that got him there in the first place. |

good thinking the letdown will occur.
