letmespin its great to be positive but lets be realistic roger needs to gain momentum and start breaking djok's serve

I'd look to Tsonga vs Djoko for 2 reasons
 
1 - Djoko has to emotionally believe he's won the final if he wins here. He's had such a mountain to climb to overcome the Fed in recent years, there's simply no way he can respect his final opponent to the degree he respected the Fed before this match = anticlimax
 
2 - recent shock mens finalists at the Oz Open - Baggy, Gonzo - did nothing in the final. It's simply a matter of percentages that a shock finalist will eventually show the form in the final that got him there in the first place.

I agree about the backhand Burley. It can be very erratic at times
Its probably hard for Federer to get up for every match because hes been the best for so long and doesn't really have to give 110% to win every match.
If Roger was 100% into a match though,don't think there is anyone on tour that would be close

Novak gives away too many points with doubles or dumb plays when he's way up or way down in a game.

I agree with the 1st point. I don't agree that the 2nd point applies. They are both shock finalists because neither is named Fed.

here is how i think tsonga competes with fed
novak has success on the deuce court with the wide sideline serve this will also prove to be good in the ad court against fed's lousy backhand. guess what tsonga has the wide serve and it is 15mph faster than novak's.
in one exhibition match recently sampras pardon me a non playing shape sampras beat federer.
sampras loves the net game ...so does tsonga. with that range and percentage he should beat roger at his own game.
the only caveat i see is how he can compete in a final after all he did lose in the final to jarkko

Federer lost that match to Sampras on purpose.Didn't want to emberass his idol and win all the matches of the exhibition. Would have looked really bad
