yoro, cody just want to let ystdays thread die. tks fer those final comments.
yoro, regarding Serie A, it wasnt till just recently when we were alloted a 4th slot. dunno when the last time all of them advanced. this stuff kind of runs in cycles it seems. EPL had their moment last year, I know Spain had theirs a few years ago and if not mistaken, the Bunde did earlier in the decade. but yeah, it is a little suprising. but still a LOT of futbol to be played, we might still only end up with 2.
regardless what happens today, will still finish on '+' side for this Round so we'll see how this plays out.
CSKA/Roma - got the Russians for the half and dont think I wanna push my luck full game. believe me, id love nothing more than seeing an upset. People will talk about Romas cr*ppy road record in UCL, 5 straight losses & winless in 6. but look whom theyve played: Chelsea, Atletico, Barca, Shakhtar, Pool, & Real. not defending them, but those clubs arent in the "creampuff" category. and DiFrancesco....... one thing you can count on him doing is playing conservative on road. dont like any of these prices. hope its snowing up there. PASS.

First glance, tempted to play cska but...other than the cold weather, I don’t see any angle to back up this play, maybe a bit of revenge...on the other hand I don’t think Roma will lose, they’re in a decent form...not exactly the same situation when RM visit cska earlier in the season when RM playing terribly for the first two months

(just going to provide insight to the Juventus side of things)
i guess im just pessimistic.
Juventus/ManU - got 'em in a parlay and thats good nuff for me. we "looked" like the superior team at Old Trafford; and anyone whom follows Juve will tell you its something we just arent trained to be seeing when on the road. but I dont get what Mou was doing, concede the first goal and still has his men playing BEHIND the ball? at home? granted, Pogba did hit the woodwork late but that was their only real chance. locals didnt know where to set the opening lines from the 130s all the way to 180s. heres why?
1) Juve doesnt need to win this, and Allegri is NOTORIOUS in these scenarios.
2) a treatment table (injury) concerns all over the h*ll an italian mile long. still got plenty of depth + Christian. but still.
3) we pay a visit to San Siro this weekend to play Milan. fyi, that trumps ManU any day of the year. UCL comp included. YES. in certain situations, we rest players in the UCL for Serie A, not the other way around. this is one of those times. and GOD FORBID if we ever make things easier for ourselves.
ManU/Mou are facing the possibility of being in 3rd place at end of day AND still having to make that trip to Valencia. so you can expect a 200% effort from them here. but they apparently have their own problems.....Lukaku is doubtful/out. Mou saving him for the Manchester derby this wknd?? i dont know.
this smells like a draw but will be putting my share into the hat taking the obligatory 2-0 scoreline whatever that line is as is our custom.
Allegri, annoyed at the media questions regarding some players not being given rest: the past few weeks “...As for the others, I read the papers today suggesting we had 'dead' players. I looked around on the training ground and couldn’t find the corpses" CLASSIC!!!!!
Valencia/Young Boys - Valencia scored an early one in Switz, then got too cute trying to protect it and conceded late. when you look at the remaining schedule, Spaniards pretty much MUST win this to have any chance to get 2nd place; and keenly aware they havent scored more than a goal in 11 straight matches. YB cannot afford a draw as this is the "swing" game in regards to the Europa qualification. but theyve been brutal on road since '15 in a all European comps consistently giving away 2+ goals.

Plzen/Madrid - got the Czechs to keep it close by half. to help the cause, hoping Benzema is the lone striker up front.PASS on the rest of match.
Lyon/Hoffenheim - after playing to a wild 3-3 draw last round common sense says to take the 'over' again; but can see the French side being at home protecting their advantage in the Group and not leaving themselves exposed. PASS.
taking a chance on this one:
ManC/Shakhtar - got Shakhtar to advance in a future, but these guys are terrible travellers. managed a 2-2 draw in Lyon but prior to that were cleansheeted in 6 of their past 7 UCL roadies. City, suprisingly, have lost their last 3 straight UCL home matches and havent scored more than 2 goals in 6 straight. though City is quite capable of putting 4+ on them, cant see Shakhtar running up and down the field with them and can keep this under the number. and they got that derby this wknd.
ManC/Shakhtar under 3.5 @+104
have purposefully left out Munich becuase I havent made up my mind. im smelling a serious woodshed beating here.

Spec - Good luck today bud. You know my man crush on the Greek Four Horseman, but I'm having the same thought as you. Recent stats don't support it and with Dortmund on deck, they could be just fine with a 2-0 win. But AEK might play to a style that all but gifts goals to Bayern, and that's where this could be an easy 5-0

Munich/AEK - had one of our 'group convos' and the topic of Bayern mentioned. and im talking from afar as I dont have the intimate knowledge of the day-to-day stuff going on over there. so i could be entirely OFF BASE on this. but when you look at their stats theyre STILL dominating possession, double-digit advantages in corners & shots. just not able to put the ball into the back of the net; thats not consistent with a team which is SUPPOSEDLY "struggling". yeah, 4 pts behind Dortmund.... but for the love of dear god, its only November. and theyre in 1st place in UCL.
christ, 3/4 of europes teams would LOVE to have their "problems".
if they arent blowing everyone away by 3+ goals?......... Whats wrong with Bayern?? it is what it is. a lot of us feel this might be the game which "jumpstarts" their season. and tonights sets up perfectly.
AEK needs to get points, and they only way to do that is stop putting 10 men behind the ball in the penalty area. if you noticed their games the minute they conceded that first goal... a second one followed quickly afterwards because they opened up. and if Bayern gets a goal within the first half hour I can see this going downhill for them in a hurry. especially with Dortmund coming up.
the fact that one of our locals WONT BUDGE on the 200 juice hes hanging on them with team total @ 2.5 goals is annoying.
"you can always take the under". cazzo!!!! (and a few other unprintable Italian phrases)
im smelling a woodshed beating. yet wary of their struggles. simply not a fan of basing plays on a team to "snap out of a slump"
DTP do you remember last year?i know it isnt fair to compare, but Bayern went thru a similar scenario. draw at home, blown away in Paris, another domestic draw.... and everyone wondering whats wrong with Bayern. i admittedly got caught up into it as well. then Celtic paid a visit............... Bayern absolutely destroyed them at home 3-0. 500 shots and something like 15 corners *exaggeration* (could have EASILY put up a TD too) swore under my breath for days not taking them.

Break well, i DID get the part about City being capable of putting up 4+ correctly, ehh? havent watched tape or anything of that Munich match; wonder how it played out? im a "moron" for the day with that one.
well, the halftimes came out profitable overall, and hit another 8-teamer so ended up with a decent day
but as mentioned, GOD FORBID if we ever make things easier on ourselves. this is what happens when a team doesnt put away their chances. if anything, a good wake up call and props to ManU for keeping it close to give selves a chance.
forgot how small Mou looks. is, well below 2 metres.tall. i remember him once saying "England is the best place to work".
well..... as far as Im concerned, you can keep him. as a matter of fact, he should coach ALL the EPL clubs for a year....City, Arsenal, Tott, Chels, 'Pool.... that way everyone can prosper under his Intellectual Superiority.
