and that's probably it for Day 14. Here's for Day 15: Let's keep it banging fellas. I'm a bit tired so doing quick write ups for all games. I'd be happy to hear from you guys with what you think on games as well so do try to drop a comment or two on them games.
North Korea vs Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast needs a 9-point turn around to slip to the next round and it is a hell of a long shot. Expect a high scoring game here with Ivory Coast looking to drop a lot of goals to keep their top 16 hopes aflame. North Korea, however, will be playing for pride and I'd bet they'd die for it to reclaim it. North Korea's demolition was widely aired in their country and they wouldn't want another humiliation to take place right after. With that said, look for North Korea to try for a win here looking to risk a bit of their defense to score goals. Ivory Coast looks terrible their last 2 games but that's against Portugal and Brazil. Look for Ivory Coast to blow this game out with their talent. The earlier they score the more will come their way.
Predicted Score: North Korea 1 Ivory Coast 3
Asian Handicap: Ivory Coast -1.5
Line: OVER 2.5
Portugal vs Brazil
I was watching the Neds play last night and thought I'd see the same thing going to this game. This game will be a battle for the top spot and an attempt to avoid Spain in the next round (given Switzerland won't do anything surprising). Don't expect this game to be played looking for a draw. Brazil, with Dunga at helm, will be looking to boost their pride and solidify their world cup domination of the group. Portugal will be the one most likely looking to draw here at worst and so defense will be a prime theme for them. The total looks like a trap at 2 goals but IMO both teams will play up to their level and get at least a goal each.
Predicted Score: Portugal 1 Brazil 2
Asian Handicap: Brazil pk, -0.5
Line: OVER 2.0
Chile vs Spain
Both teams will be looking to win here to proceed. Chile however will only need to draw at the very least but don't count on it. Their strength has always been their offense and look for them to score WITH Spain here. Switzerland will only need to net two goals and for Chile to lose for them to proceed so they wouldn't want to conceed more than a goal of difference. This game will be a lot of fun to watch with both squads playing with good offensive football. So the over is very promising here. Look for Spain's offense to cause huge problem on a spotty Chilean defense (despite Chilean goalkeeper only recording 3 saves in 2 games but that's against a defensive Swiss team and Honduras).

Switzerland vs Honduras
Switzerland needs 2 goal and a Chile lose to proceed to the next round. This game has UNDER written all over it. Honduras is basically out of the competition but expect them to just play their defensive game. Switzerland will be without Behrami which cause their offensively-challenged line up weaker. I don't see the Swiss being able to drop a goal or two against Honduras. They've been mediocre in offense at best and the lack of creativity in midfield and uninspired front line will cost them the chance to qualify for the next round.
