Final game of the round, and in what could be terrible news for Rod and HoH, I'm going to side with the Roosters. They have been steamrolling sides lately, and although the Tigers have been winning, they have been scratchy. Also of concern for the Tigers is how badly they faded against the GC last week.

I was going to go overs here but the rain has scared me off
 
We have the team that commits the least amount of errors per game (Tigers 9.4) and the team that is second only to the Bulldogs in errors committed per game (14.6). Thats an extra 5 sets per game advantage
 
Both teams score at a rate better then 1 try every 10 sets (only Gold Coast, Manly, Penrith and Brisbane have this efficency).
 
Both teams perform well above the men in missed tackes per game - Tigers 37.90, Roosters 39.9, mean 33.22 (Storm and Dragons < 27.50)
 
The promise of a high scoring affair scared me off the Tigers at the line, I might have a nibble at both teams 1-12 (Roosters $3.10, Tigers $4.35)

Tough game this one, I agree. I liked the Tigers for much of the week, but swung late towards the Roosters. Is the total out anywhere? The weather was ordinary in Sydney yesterday and the Sharks still put 30 on....

most places have it around the 40-41 mark.

Roosters averaging 25.2 points a game, while the Tigers defence is giving up 22.2 ppg.
 
Tigers averaging 22.8 ppg, whilst the Roosters stingy defence has given up just 15.8. Making that stat even more impressive is that the roosters have played Brisbane (25.8 ppg), Penrith (23.0) and a heap of teams (Newcastle, Melbourne, St George, New Zealand, Parramatta) who average 20 or better per game.....

The wet weather has turned me off the over.
 
In the Roosters 3 home Aussie Stadium games the total has not gone close to 40 (34,16,34) and the Wests away games have gone 40, 44, 54, 36 and 64. The 36 was against a similar defensive team to the Roosters in the Sharks, and the Roosters have a better attack then the sharkies.
 
The way to beat the Roosters is to make them run over the park. Newcastle showed that and the Tigers are a team that can exploit that

Over looks toast?

Possibly, but if the Roosters can score first and force the Tigers to chase, you never know. Although 30 odd points does look a lot to ask.

Tigers completing an ordinary 65%, Roosters no better at 68%.
 
Tigers missing 1 in 9.6 tackles, Roosters 1 in 11.2.
 
Tigers made 9 errors to the Roosters 7.
 
Tigers made 534 metres, Roosters made 729.
 
Scoreline a fair reflection of the game, although I'd imagine the Tigers would be chuffed to be down by only 12.
