I tried to do the whole keeping stats thing.... i don't think it's worth the effort unless there is a very smart program out there to handle some of the variables (i'm still yet to see one).
I've also found these stats quite useless since most situations in golf are different. Lets say the pin is tucked back right on a green, you have 175 yds in, hit that shot just past pin high 15 feet right of the hole. So you're now only 15 feet away but just on the fringe, pretty much executed that shot exactly how you wanted to yet that counts as 1 missed green. Then on top of that since you're only 15 feet away from the hole, chip or put it a couple feet away then you have a gimme up and down.
Go the other way.... 175 in, pin tucked in that same back right spot but you hit a chunk hook that two hops it's way to the front left portion of the green. So even though you're looking at a 60 foot put yet you have hit the green for your stats.
I have a pretty good memory but i'm not gonna remember the background behind that missed green i had on 17 on Sept 21 in '07.
I'm just saying sometimes stats can be misleading.... Pound a driver at your target, takes a meh bounce and you wind up in the first cut.... that shouldnt count as a missed drive/missed fairway imo but the stats programs that i've used dont compute that.
Weathered.... good playing this early in the yr, keep it up. I'm 29, been around a scratch for yrs now and play a lot of tournament golf and i'm yet to have a bogey free round. Even my 66 had a double to brag about. I'm very envious of that blemish free round and i think about mine whenever i'm stainding anywhere on the back 9 being bogey free.
Keith Line.... 17-18 up and downs, 19 puts. Thats either a once in a lifetime thing.... or (more likely) it's just a bunch of .

I can respect what your saying and I agree stats can be misleading....for some reason when I just keep little notes for myself during the round it seems to help me focus....it seems like I am in the minority when it comes to this and thats cool.....different things work for different people.
And I have had a few bogey free rounds.....normally though I shoot even or at best 2 Under......my best rounds in my Golf career all have had bogeys in them.
That day last september I was just playing with 1 buddy of mine for fun no money or anything ( ) and I just was in a ball striking zone......could not putt for anything that day so it turned into 18 pars.....
good luck with your game this upcoming season.....i'm really working hard to try and play alot of tournaments this year....it's going to be fun......enjoy

I played 2 rounds over the weekend at the sim.....
81% Fairways
80% Green
I just booked my trip to Arizona for a Golf vacation.....I really really really really hope I can keep this up out on a real golf course.
going with 7 other guys and the gambling will be plentyfull on the course....if I can show up and strike the ball this well i'm going to win myself some nice cash....
really my only worry is my short game....only because of some rust....but i think everyone will be off from 100 yards and in.....normally after a good solid day of short game practice i bounce back well....so we will see......
i cant wait
