There are several issues that I have considered for this game..... #1. The Laker offense vs. the Celtic defense. The Celtics are at home. They are erratic to say the least. But, they did put Boston away AFTER Boston had a 10 pt lead in the 3rd Q in game 7. The Lakers can score fast and furious. But can they do so on the road against the Celtics in the most legendary match up in the history of the NBA? I dont think so. I think the Celtic mystique, the parque floor, HISTORY between these two and the fact that the Celts have the best defense in the league make for a deliberate lower scoring game than the Lakers are use to. For this reason, I took every under bet I could get my grubby hands on. Both teams are rusty and given Boston's propensity for not showing up on time, but winning at home.....I took the Lakers 1st Q +1.
#2. Need. In a 2-3-2 home, away, home 7 game series, Boston knows good and damn well that Phil, the Zen Master, knows how to get the most out of his troops. Plus they know that they STRUGGLE on the road. This plus the fact that they have to play THREE games in LA means that they simply cant afford to piss away game one. For this reason I got Boston -3.
#3. Home Court. Boston is VERY good at home and very, very beatable on the road. I am banking that they will win the games they must win at home knowing they are iffy at best when they arent at the Gaaaaaaden.
So, my ticket is this LAL +1 1st Q 1/3 BIG UNDER 48 1st Q 3/4 BIG UNDER 95.5 1st 1/2 1/2 BIG UNDER GAME 192 BIG BOS -3 2/3 BIG LAL Team under 94.5 3/4 BIG
