Wow the Rockets are getting +9.5 points?! This is going to be a good season if the books think Houston sucks that bad. Without Ming I think they offer a little more versatility on offense.

Brooks showed everyone how much a threat he can be but he's inconsistent. He's a very fast and quick player but Miller is smarter and makes sure everyone on his team is touching the ball. He brings his team into the game.
Brandon Roy = Shane Battier
I believe Rockets are moving Shane to SG due to the addition of Trevor Ariza. Now Brandon Roy is a very talented player none taken but Shane Battier brings that hard work, leadership skills into play that I think plays just as much as a go-to player does.
Rudy Fernandez < Trevor Ariza
Trevor Ariza is a very underrated player. He plays very good defense and hustles every second he is on the floor. Plus he banks open 3s which Rockets were having a trouble with for quite some time.
LaMarcus Aldridge = Luis Scola
I think LaMarcus oversizes Scola but somehow Scola manages his way against taller guys in the past. Expect Aldridge to touch the ball a lot. However, Luis Scola hustles and does anything he can to help his team out.
Joey Przybilla ? Derek Andersen
Not too fond of Derek Andersen and how much of an impact he can be for his team and Joey is well just an average center who just does whatever a center does, grab boards and dishes it out.
I'm a die-hard Rockets fan so I tend to stay away from betting for/against them. But I would take the Rockets in this situation and for this game to go over definitely because Rockets are smaller sized so they will try to up the tempo.

Look over the last few yr, and tell me when Portland ever gave Houston 9.5. Well I can't find one, this is the same team that played Portland in the playoffs last yr, and never was the spread that high. They didn't have Yao or Mcgrady then either so why such a big difference in the spread. I would lean Portland just for that reason, Vegas knew people would jump on Houston. They have almost 60% on them but the line goes from 8.5 to 9.5.

I don't believe Miller, at this point in his career, can 'REMOTELY' cover Brooks...That's ONE key change in this match up (lineup wise) from last year. I believe that will be the key match up story line tonight for a HOUSTON COVER +9.5...

whoever said that miller was better than brooks is a fool. miller has no outside game, brooks can drive and shoot the tres. He is not as good a ball handler but is much quicker than miller.

Houston is better than last season folks. Now without Yao they can finally be a fast break offense and the transaction of Ariza for Artest is a blessing in disguise. Ariza is still young but he will be a factor for the future. The Miller on Brooks will be a good matchup but I see Brooks being a little too quick with the ball for him. Battier on Roy, Battier is the stronger and more mature of the two and this will put a lot of pressure on Roy to make shots he doesn't want. Even Houston is a bit undersized when it comes to C and F, they always find a way to grab the boards and put up blocks. This is a great opening line in favor of Houston.
