Detroit +5. See if I can stretch my losing streak to 5. That would be pretty uncommon (although not unheard of). Not greatly confident, but I'll go with a mid-range 3 units tonight.

most of u who keeps thinking that the total will go over must be  still sleeping......i mean are u even watching the game? After the game ,the only thing detroit was concerned about was not the 7 turnovers in the 3rd qtr....or their offense.....the were upset with the way they played DEFENSE......what that means is that detroit is a DEFENSIVE MINDED TEAM......which means this game will be even lower than last game....Boston ended the game with 52% in field goal percentage......that shit will be lower tonight......

DETROIT IS 8-0 IN WINNING GAME 2 IN THE POSTSEASON.....THEY WILL BE FIRED UP.......

Good thing I got down to the casino early to get that extra point or 1 1/2 on the TOTAL....  Folks are betting the OVER(I did too)... I managed 172....
I stayed away from the point spread on this one....  I just hope this is a higher scoring affair...  Some are thinking BOS chokes a little here under pressure thinking that if they don't nail these home games, they will be in trouble when they go to Rock City.....   GL all...
 
I did Red Sox and Tigers RL so 2 down so far.....  Man, I wish I would have did the OVER in that Tigers game--it went over again...  Hot bats there!

once again....thank u vegas 4 being so kind 2 me.....i relly wanted S.A. 2 win dat gm last nite but the beast crunk up n the 3rd qtr...oh well they still won n my book....now for all the ppl who like boston, say goodbye 2 the money u betted with them tonite.....det might lose this gm but i got 2 have them 4.5 wit them 2nite....this chit is just 2 easy sometime......DET +4.5........I LUV VEGAS!!!!!!

No argument there buddy!  It sucks that we can't know why they're making a pick, but it's still nice to know what play they're making.  And as always, the haters will continue to hate.  That's fine with me though, because my wallet keeps getting fatter and their presence on this board is still as consistent as ever.

Some stats for you all to enjoy.

Game 1: 

Points in the Paint  44 - 22  Celtics  (Expect more of the same, as they drive a lot more than the Pistons overall, and KG is better than Rasheed)

Free Throws  19 - 14 Pistons  (This is the reason why they were only down by 1 at the half...had a 14-3 advantage in the 1st half)

Assists  27 - 15 Celtics  (Rondo is much quicker than Billups, who looked clearly still bothered by the hamstring)

The Celtics are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 home games...6-3 in the playoffs...giving up only 79 PPG at home.

Detroit is only 3-3 SU and ATS in the playoffs on the road...averaging 87 PPG against weaker defensive teams in the Sixers and Magic

In those 3 road wins...the Pistons had the advantage in both rebounds and assists.  In the 3 road losses, the Pistons were outrebounded and gave up more assists.

The Celtics have outrebounded the Pistons in every meeting this season, and had more assists in all but ONE game this year.

Reason why the Pistons have seemed to hang in against the C's this year?  Free Throws.  They have shot more free throws in 3 of the 4 games this year.

Reason why the Celtics have won 3 of 4 games this year...with the one loss coming on a cheap foul and free throws?  POINTS IN THE PAINT. They have dominated every game this year inside...total of 158 points to 84 and averaging a 16 point advantage in each game.

Celtics have won 90.2% of 7-game series' after winning Game 1.



Celtics just are not a good matchup for the Pistons.  They are too tough defensively, forcing the Pistons into outside jumpshots, and they are big enough to contest those jumpers.  Pistons are damn good on defense, but they can't compete inside with the drives of Rondo and Pierce and the dominance of KG.
