As soon as I saw this line I jumped on Detroit +4.5 and here are my reasons-----
 
1) Boston has played two Game 7's and their legs are not there IMO.  Pistons have been off and are well rested and are a mission.  They proved alot to me when they were down 2-1 to Philly.
 
2) Boston hasn't impressed me and if the Cavaliers had one more step up, besides LBJ, in any of the 4 games in Boston, they would of one 2 games easily.  The Pistons not only have two but they have 3 if not 4 guys that can put the ball in the hoop with consistency.
 
3) Billups will lockdown Rando and have his way with him.  Wallace can play as a big or take his game outside and he will put that Perkins STIFF to shame.  KG will get his on whoever is guarding him but Allen will struggle at both ends on Hamilton.  Allen is looking OLD BIGTIME and RIP will be able to expose that.  Add in Prince and his stellar defense he will lockdown Pierce.  Pierce had a great Game 7 but at the same time, he's beat from having to cover LBJ for 7 games......

Pistons for series BIG and win it in 5
 
Boston has been exposed for what they are, good home team who can't win on the road.  Your not winning a Championship not ebing able to win on the road.  Pistons take 1 out 2 in Boston and then take next 3..........HOW BOUT THAT CHOWDAHEADS!!

Pistons +4.5 (3 units) vs. Celtics - I've been waiting for this game for some time now, basically since the Pistons/Magic series was over.  I thought the spread would be a bit tighter mainly because of the extended rest for Detroit.  The Celtics are looking to continue their home winning streak, now at 8 games in the Playoffs.  Detroit knows it can win in Boston, and they've had a few days to scheme of special ways to disrupt the Celtics flow.

taking into account the idea that a team with lots of rest starts slow, Detroit seems to fit this bill.  Taking Boston 1Q and 1H.  Will wait on a 2H line to play a game total.

I am the dork that lives across the street from 3 sportsbooks in Las Vegas and I did say that I make my own analysis and admitted to my mistake.  There is homeless people here in Vegas that survive on their picks. As a forty year resident of Las Vegas and quite successful I guess my biggest mistake has been to get involved with this forum and to put any value on any of you guys.
Covers.com does all the print outs for daily wagers in almost all the casinos, dont let it surprise you if their is some who profit from misleading the public.

Some good posts to think about. I think this is the Pistons best opportunity to win a game in Boston. I agree with Coverdatspread that the biggest obstacle for the Celtics will be their mental fatigue, after having to play two game 7's in fan crazy Boston, and the criticism that came with not closing out inferior teams sooner.
 
There is just something about the Pistons that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me; whether it's their arrogance, or their sometimes devil-may-care attitude, but Odubiousone makes a good point in that they play to the level of their opponent.
 
I think Boston is the better team and will win this series, and may win this game close, but I think the Pistons cover. So I will go with Det. -4.5 small (may buy the hook). I like your  first quarter picks moneymaker and will go small at first, waiting to see how these teams match-up and see the ebb and flow of the game.

I lived in Vegas for 5 years. I love all the people who feel the need to mention their Vegas residency like living close to a sportsbook somehow makes you smarter. Is it a process of osmosis? Does it actually rub off on you the closer you are? That's funny, because I'm a far better gambler now that I'm NOT in Las Vegas listening to all the idiot conspiracy theorists who think they can read the lines like a gypsy reading the tea leaves.

This one is easy if you know anything about basketball. Detriot has been off for awhile and will be rusty. 1-6 ATS over three days rest. With Bostons tendency to get out early at home this one will be over by halftime. Detroit will make a move in the second but I still don't think they will be able to make it up. Bos 1st quartr, half, game. GL

The ‘under’ is 7-1 in the last eight head-to-head meetings between the Celtics and Pistons.

The ‘under’ is on a 10-2 run for Detroit in its last 12 road games.

Boston is 11-3 ATS in its last 14 home games.

        Listen up rookie..... CK and Stylistic had great picks and everyone on this thread will admit that ck and styles made them money.  We all liked to hear their two cents, but we are all smart enough to make our own picks.  But they were very helpful to all, and if we can still hear from them through zigzag, I think we all will listen. maybe not all, but most due listen. They were one of the best handicappers on here along with.... CMJ, Pronk, Moneymaker, and Nightridah. If you were smart you would listen, then bet as you will, but most of us want to hear from ck and styles, so let it go. U r  rookie so we will let this smack go...  gl on your picks tonight.

Going to the game tonight, So cannot bet due to heart, but I think the play is Detroit plus points. celtics are tired and spent. I don't know how they get up for this after getting up for game 7. Only game 1 now, not a game 7, I feel there was so much pressure on game 7, that this game won't seem as meaningful compared to a game 7. detroit will do their best to steal this game. Should be a great game, Good luck to all. Enjoy .  you can see me on the 50 yard line at game and I will be holding up a sign saying Hi to all at covers, and FUCK FPRONK and DRIFTER44.

Agreed pronk. Although on paper, Boston seems like it should be an easy bet - something is wrong with them. Ray Allen can't get going and they are playing without energy or heart. Rivers is one of the worst post season coaches I have seen in a long time - he doesn't seem to be able to make the correct adjustments. In fact his coaching I believe has hindered the teams performance at times. Tonight, again, he will be outcoached and Boston will be outplayed. Detroit has shown they can show up at will and I have a feeling they will want to try and grab this early from an old (er looking) and tired team. GL to all.
